Technology has exerted great influence in the way things are done. There is a high probability that the momentum will increase even soon. Nobody can have absolute control over things because things are evolving every day. Therefore to be relevant and get noticed in this noisy and competitive age, we must be distinct in all our dealings. We often hear people say be different or do something different to get a different or better result. That is fine, this word has become a signature word for most motivational speakers and others in different professions. The reality is that it is possible to do things differently but not being noticed by your target audience. It is possible to do things differently but the noise out there overwhelms you. That is the more reason you should go for distinction. Being different is going the other way. Using something not the same like the former. Adopting a new strategy. You may use something new but you don’t get the desired outcome. If you are distinct, you will stand out from the group, you will not only be different but clear, plain, in quality, taste, appearance and every aspect. This will attract attention. You will not hide. The noise won’t overwhelm you because you are up there. It is good to do things differently but it will be great and rewarding if you strive to be distinct. So, don’t just wake up and change the plan or strategy. Ask yourself certain questions about the viability of the change you want to make.
