Day 17; Decapitation

This one surrounds a character ending concept I never got to properly utilize. Bedelvir puts up a noble fight, but it is unfortunately in vain.

The characters pictured are Darius Ferarri and Bedelvir Gro-Kapshung. The former is an ex-Janus Order changeling who believes humans are equals, and the latter is a battle-worn scholar who tales Vendel’s place as Elder upon the old goat’s death.

Both of them have radical opinions on the state of Trollmarket, with Darius believing changelings and humans should be allowed to gain citizenship and take up residence within, while Bedelvir opposes the notion of anyone but Trollkind having homes in this place sacred to its sheltered populace. These clashing political ideals have led to strife within the Tribunal.

Inevitably, changelings gain the rights to Horngazels, citizenship, homes and market, but Darius still is not satisfied. He continues pushing the Tribunal to give rights to mankind under troll law, and Bedelvir continues pushing back, believing that just allowing changelings and the human Trollhunter has been plenty enough change for this decade.

The conflict escalates. There are events of assault, kidnapping, poisoning, and attempted assassination, but none have succeeded before now. Darius takes a team with him into the Heartstone, aiming to squash this oppressive threat once and for all.
