Bede is arrogant and pretends like his obsession is just wasting his time, even when he is the one that initiated the conversation or got in his obsessions way while they were walking somewhere.
He doesn’t understand why he gets annoyed when others talk to his obsession and openly antagonizes anyone his obsession talks to their face, saying how he doesn’t understand how even someone like his obsession is able to stand being around dead weight and how the people they have talked to will only drag them down in the end.
He starts off cold and demeaning to his obsession, but after he realizes that he wants them in his life he starts giving them back handed compliments and tips disguised as insults.
It takes a while for him to give his obsession a compliment to their face instead of it being veiled of something else but once the first one left his lips you can bet that his obsession will be complimented a bit more after that.
He gets jealous very easily and cannot stand for anyone talking to his obsession as they could have been spending those precious seconds with him, after all no one is better than him, so his obsession has no right looking at other people with a smile on their face.
He bullies his obsessions friends away, beating them in Pokémon battles and demeaning them for even thinking that they were good enough to be friends with his obsession while they are only dragging their (his obsessions) name through the mud whenever they lose a Pokémon battle.
He will offer his obsession to work alongside him as a trainer of his gym if his obsession has fairy type Pokémon, if they don’t, he will just bring them to the gym and have them help him train for the next gym season.
He thrives off of his obsessions praises and will go out of his way to do something nice for his obsession when he wants to get one.

Let's start at the start shall we?:
How you meet:
You were Running through the Cole mine wen you meet him for the first time. He was struggling with finding his way after Victor beat his Hatenna in battle. After all his Pokemon see for him.
Just because he can't see, it doesn't mean he doesn't hears you. I fact his ears are so good that he heard you from the entrance of the mine already. Looking you way, your eyes meet. His white eyes scared you for a second, but you quickly realised his setuaion. So you grabt his arm putting it on you shoulder and got him out of there. You got him through the rest of route 4 to Turffield, into the Pokémon Center.
He thank you and you talk until his Pokémon we're back at full health. Wen you wanted to go he asked you if you would accompany him on his journey. So you did.
How he started catching feelings:
You and Bede were resting in Circhester wen you asked him if he wanted to go to the hot springs. So you both did. In the hot spring you both rested and played with you Pokémon. Even though Bede couldn't see you, his Pokémon did so for him. So wen you started brushing Bede's Hatterene, it send a message to Bade of what you are doing. His Heart melted at the thought of you doing this to his hair. And at that moment he realised: fuck. I have feelings for them! Now my acting makes sense!
How he confessed:
It was after You finally beat Victor AND Leon in the Champions League. He meet you outside in his Gym- Leader clothes, Smileing at you. You hug'd him and he patted you head. After a while he let you go: "congratulations on winning the League." He putt an envelope in you hand: "only open it after we go separate ways okey?" You ensured him that you won't opent it I'll then. After you hade a little party he got back to his Gym.
It was 2 week after this meeting wen you found the envelope in you Pocket. You opened it and Bede Beautifully handwritten caught your eye.

He's an absolute mess when you ask him to dance. He just barely manages to stutter out a "y-yeah!" before muttering about how terrible his dancing is.
Doesn't entirely know where to put his hands. He awkwardly tried different positions before deciding on one hand holding yours, the other one on your waist.
Once you two get comfortable, you have an absolute blast :)
Bede
Remember that Phineas and Ferb song, "I Ain't Got Rhythm"? That is Bede's dancing ability in a nutshell.
He insists that dancing is stupid and a waste of energy, that he can't dance at all. However he's actually quite graceful once on the dance floor.
If you ask him to dance with you, he'll definitely think you're joking at first. Surely this is just a way for you to learn his weaknesses (you) so you can exploit them.
Once you finally convince him, he insists on taking the lead. You're taller than him? Too bad, he's still in charge.
Marnie
Her entire hometown is one giant concert. Safe to say she's very comfortable dancing with others.
You don't even get a chance to ask her to dance, she'll simply take you by the hand and lead you to the dance floor.
You two love to twirl each other around :) One time you got stuck in a loop of spinning each other again and again and again.
Watch out for Team Yell, they're not mean or anything but they'll hype you up and it's very embarrassing.

Your last moments you’ve really gotten to hang out with him was about two years ago. The both of you were so caring and appreciative of each other’s presence. The day you fell in love with him, you broke apart. You developed such a rude attitude towards him. The sort of, “I can’t hang out with you since I see you as a lover”. You didn’t understand love. That day you sunk into your bed and cried.
March 14th. White Day. You miss your chance every time. You thought you could redeem yourself this year. You loved everything about Bede. To this looks then to personality. The main issue is that you wanted to show your love for him this year. You’ve been in love with him for about two years.
There was another problem that came along with this issue. You would always be rude to him. Even when he tried to talk to you, you would distance yourself from him by saying something rude. You knew he got offended easily so the insults ended up being the perfect way to stay away from him.
At this point, you’ve distanced yourself from him by a great amount. It would be difficult to form a good friendship at this point. The heavy feeling of your love for him was too much to handle, you decided today would be the date. You knew Bede enough to pick up on his schedule because there was always a certain time he would always text you.

You read the text and looked at your digital clock. “Dang, it’s 2:30?”, you said to yourself. You realized your lazy ass has been sitting in your bed for hours and you need to get ready. A shower was also necessary. You stink. You got up and started to get ready. Basic hygiene, get dressed, and go get breakfast. Well, lunch.
You ate something nutritious enough to fuel you the entire day. Honestly, you were too tired to go outside, but keeping your feelings in any longer was going to make you go insane. You grabbed your bag and walked out. You lived in a run-down apartment in Spikemuth, so it wasn’t a long walk away.
Loud music started to play from the gym area and you started to peek through to see your friend Marnie. A Pokémon shook the metal fence, which made you flinch and run away. You ran to Ballonlea. There was a small shop by the Ballonlea gym, well a house that sold candied goods. You bought some hard candy such as lollipops and other flavored candies in a pouch. You left a gracious tip for the shop owner, which was your favorite.
You snuck around the Ballonlea gym waiting outside for Bede. It took awhile for him to come outside because at this point, he knew you would never come around. Luckily, he did have some faith this time and went out. You were hiding behind a bush when he popped out all of a sudden. It’s been a long time since you last saw him in person. His beauty was more noticeable than usual. Was it because you were longing to see him again? Or was it because you were about to confess your feelings to him? Whatever it was, you couldn’t stop drooling over him.
“Hey, are you good?” Bede said, “I know it’s been awhile, but you could at least say hi.” You mumbled something that went along, “Shit, I’m so stupid” and started to start up a conversation with him. “Yes it has been awhile. But, I have something important to tell you,” you talked in a straightforward manner. “Wait, can I say this dramatically?”, you asked.
“Of course”, he sighed.
You went on your knees and you snatched one of Bede’s hands. You lateched your hand onto his fingers tightly. “I love you. I-i’m sorry I haven't said anything for the past two years, but I do.” Bede paused for a moment and told you how dramatic that was, but reluctantly agreed to go out with you. You handed the candy to Bede and walked along inside. Holding hands. You whispered something along the lines, “Stay with me, will you?” No response.

Bede is a simple man with simple wishes, and right now, he'd just wish you'd give him space for five minutes. Or at least, that's how he's coming off to you. Not that it actually stops you from following him around the region, cheering him on in tournaments, and generally being the best partner you could be for him. It's very strange for a champion to do, especially after all the times he tried to put you down in the past. Though he told you was fair due to the amount of times you've kicked his ass in pokémon battles.
You're never detoured from trying to be close to him, in a way that still had him comfortable of course. He's grown to accept it over the years, and you playfully call him a tsundere every time he tries to deny it. The few times you haven't trailed behind him felt off, this just happened to be another one of those days for him. How he even let you that close to him in the first place is a secret the two of you share from everyone. Him out of pride, and you to protect his privacy, which he's appreciated for the last five years he's known you.

You had some work to do in Hammerlocke, while he was stuck in the gym waiting for the newest arrivals of challengers. Sadly he wouldn't have anyone to praise his efforts this afternoon. Very few challengers led to his job being uneventful and boring to say the least. He spends a majority of the time cleaning up, prepping his pokémon, and scrolling through social media on his phone.

He wasn't really surprised that you didn't show up after his job was done for the day, but it's somewhat disappointing.
"Just where are you now Y/N? I know I won't find you anywhere near Hammerlocke, it's been too long for you to stay in one place. I wish you wouldn't constantly play hide and seek with me, it gets to be quite old after a while."
He never really knew what it was that you were doing. All he knew was that he'd never find you in the same place twice. He'd try to call you but there's always a chance of you being in the middle of a battle. About 75% of the time he's called, that just happened to be the case.
"Well, I know that if I don't go looking for them, they'll come back eventually. Let them be the seeker this time around."

Bede decided to play a game of his own this time, hiding in a spot that you'd never think to look for him, the Slumbering Weald. He thinks of the amount of panic it'd cause you to search the entire region just looking for him, just for him to be near your old home in Postwick. For a split second he thinks that the idea be in a bit of poor taste. After the amount of times you've given him a heart attack for doing the exact same thing though, he thinks it's entirely fair.
He made sure not to tell anyone where he was going, including Opal, before making his way over to Postwick. It's dark enough outside for him to not be noticed easily, as no one's really out to see him jump the fence and trail further into the woods. He was never really bothered by the Slumbering Weald after you found Zacian/Zamazenta, as the ruins seem to be rather peaceful now. At night, it was eerie, but nothing he couldn't handle. If he could deal with the mischief of the Allister's ghost types, then he could surely spend the night there with no issues.

You only had a few guesses to go off with the clue he did give you, and none of the places you thought of seemed to be right. You were starting to get frustrated before you thought to check wooded areas. It only took you....a few hours to find him. By then, he was asleep in his tent, curled up with a peaceful expression on his face.
You tried your best to slip in and cuddle up next to him without waking him up. Sadly, he's a light sleeper, so he almost jolted awake upon your bodies making contact.
