Blog vol2 (12/4/18) -JAY-
It's been a week or so since my last blog post, I have been video documenting a little bit as well.
Jay started her new position as Store Manager this week and within only 2 days her Regional Manager called her absolutely ecstatic about how she has improved the store in such a short time. (I never doubted her for a second) 😋
We sat down Tuesday night and planned on revamping the businesses pitch to sign people up to their loyalty program, as this store in particular struggled with getting customers to sign up. The original pitch focused emphasized that you save 15% on selected items. Now after asking Jay some questions aboit the demographic, area and clientele that shop at the store, I almost immediately told her she needs to drop the 15% off from the pitch and here is why, the clientele that frequent the store generally have an abundance of money and saving a small amount on select items would not appeal to them. Instead you need to emphasise on other points that essentially save them 'time' and make them feel important. (Deep down, people love to feel important)
I told Jay that she needs to treat every client (customer) that comes in with a more exclusive demeanor, introducing herself by name (Jay) and as the new store manager and that if they ever need any help to personally ask for her and she will look after them.
She put these new found outlooks into effect and after one day the amount of new sign ups to their loyalty program sky rocketed and she even turned an unhappy customer into an ecstatic customer. I have a nickname for Jay but she has been reluctant to accept it, The Golden Goose! Every store she has been put into has grown exponentially and all the staff under her respect and adore her. You go girl.
