bEAVER MOON EVE

The frost moon gets its name from the arrival of the frosty weather, signaling the upcoming winter season. The indigenous people sometimes refer to it also as the Beaver Moon, marking the time to set beaver traps before the water begins to freeze. It is also sometimes referred to as the Mourning Moon as it symbolizes a time of remembrance and reflection.
