Oval Oval faces are longer than they are wide, with a softly rounded jawline. The forehead is usually a little wider than the chin, so the whole face looks pretty balanced.

Round Round faces usually have similar width and length. The cheeks tend to be fuller, and the jawline is soft and curved instead of sharp.

Square Square faces have stronger angles. The forehead, cheekbones, and jawline are usually close in width, and the jawline is more defined.

Heart Heart-shaped faces are wider at the forehead and cheekbones and taper down to a smaller or more pointed chin. It’s basically an inverted triangle shape.

Diamond Diamond faces have cheekbones as the widest point of the face. The forehead and jawline are both narrower, which makes the cheekbones stand out more.

Rectangle (Oblong) Rectangle faces are longer than they are wide. The forehead, cheekbones, and jawline tend to be pretty similar in width, which gives the face that elongated look.

Triangle Triangle faces have a wider jawline and a narrower forehead. The lower half of the face is the widest area.

Pear Pear-shaped faces are similar to triangle shapes but a bit softer. The forehead is narrow, the cheekbones widen slightly, and the jawline is the widest point.

How to figure out your face shape: Pull your hair back and look at your face straight on. Notice which part of your face is the widest (forehead, cheekbones, or jaw) and whether your face looks longer than it is wide.
