Y’all I am crazy nervous to post these, the love and support in my life is above and beyond anything I could have imagined. When I started my weight loss journey I never imagined getting to this point. The point of showing my body (my whole body) in a swimsuit let alone a bikini. I have gone back and forth whether to post these, mainly because of my insecurities and my thoughts on what a “bikini body” or “summer body” should be. I am not where I was hoping to be because you know what I am human and sometimes I slack when it comes to going to the gym or eating right. I’m not perfect but the fact that I get back up when I fall off says a lot. But you know what, I am not where I was this time last year, I’m not even where I was in January. I’m slowly but surly getting to where I want to be and that’s what really matters. What really matters is learning to embrace the body I have and to celebrate the accomplishments I’ve already made. Yes I have stretch marks, yes I have cellulite. Yes I have an ass that will not get smaller no matter what I do. Yes I have thick thighs that will probably always touch. But I’m healthy. I am stronger and happier than I was even a month ago. Yes I am not perfect but my goal isn’t that. My goal is to celebrate the small victories and be the best version of me.
