*Fast forward to later date* The day to Test drive the Tesla’s had finally arrived. Unfortunately, I arrived too late to fulfill Tesla’s sign-in policy so I was only able to be passenger. First, my friend drove the Model S 100D (the D means AWD). We started off on the highway and the salesman immediately had my friend engage autopilot which is very cool and intuitive. After that we ventured off to a twisty roadway to show off the cars low center of gravity. The car handled well, but was a little bit floaty due to the air suspension. Finally, at a straight away unhindered by traffic he tested the Model S’s acceleration. The acceleration of this car is no joke! When my friend smashed the accelerator to the floor I was sucked back into my seat; I immediately felt like I was in the millennium falcon entering light speed. We got back to the parking lot with only five minutes to spare so we quickly hopped in a Model 3. It was much more cramped than the S. He did a small loop in the parking lot and a straight away acceleration test with the Dual Motor Model 3 but it had nowhere near as much power that the S had. After that the salesman had the Model 3 attempt to back itself in for parking, but was unable to complete said task due to the large concrete pillar near the parking spot. My friend parked the car and that concluded the test drive. Final thoughts- sexy cars, safe cars, cool cars, but over hyped, over priced and much left to be desired. The best part about Tesla in my opinion actually isn’t the cars. It’s the immense supercharging network that allows you to travel on electric power alone making the cars that much more desirable over other electric cars. I’m Marc and this is a MarkyMarc711 review. God bless, love life, and stay safe.
