“  that’s  not  fair.  i  can’t  help  it !  ”      shoulder  lift  in  a  shrug  that  is  anything  but  serious.  there's  nothing  to  be  taken  lightly  in  the  moment.  she's  caught  between  rock  and  hard  place.  causing  chaos  where  there  had  been  peace.  and  she  should  feel  guilty.  if  there's  a  part  of  her  that  does  ..  it's  too  far  removed  from  conscious  being.  instead ,  feet  kick  up  on  the  couch's  arm  rest.  smirk  curling  onto  features  for  however  long  she's  going  to  be  allowed  to  enjoy  the  moment.      “  guess  i'm  just  a  heathen.  ”      it's  what  they  all  think  anyway.  why  not  give  them  exactly  what  they  want  ?    /    @beastslain​    sc.

reclining    back    on    his    chair,    feet    propped    up    on    the    table,    gil's    curious    eyes    follow    his    father    as    they    go    through    their    kitchen.    “    whatcha    doing?    ”    for    a    bored    mind    like    gil's    was    at    the    moment,    even    helping    his    father's    quest    for,    apparently,    more    food    seemed    like    a    good    distraction.    “    if    you're    looking    for    a    done    snack    …    I    just    ate    the    last    ones    …    ”    he    straightens    up,    a    boyish    smile    on    his    face    as    he    chuckles    softly,    hoping    his    dad    will    understand    that    at    the    end    of    the    day,    gil    is,    like    they    always    say,    a    growing    lad.

gil    looks    skeptically    at    his    dad,    while    trying    to    contain    a    little    laugh    that    threatens    to    leave    his    mouth.    not    that    he    didn't    think    his    dad    wasn't    the    speaker    out    of    the    two    of    them,    but    putting    the    ladies    of    the    family    in    the    mix,    it    was    a    great    claim    to    make.    “    umhum    ….    is    mom    included    in    that?    ”

gil    nodded,    as    he    slowly    took    in    his    dad's    newest    life    lessons.    that    was    something    parents    liked    to    do,    gil    assumes.    giving    some    form    of    lesson    to    their    kids.    “    so    I    should    just    ...    estimate    myself?    ”    that    didn't    sound    really    right,    but    it    was    basically    what    gaston    had    said,    wasn't    it?    “    I    mean,    I    guess    everyone    should    estimate    themselves    once    in    their    lives,    right?    ”
