The Word Press buyout is a Good thing.
It’s stable and open source.
It’s been the backbone of many sites that have been used since like 2005.
it’s had over a decade to be fine tuned and it’s versatile enough that you’ve probably used many wordpress sites and never knew.
We know that automatic plans on using wordpress to act as the backbone of this site which will likely lead to some drastic changes to the UI but likely these will hopefully be in the hopes of stabilizing the site.
I know that Wordpress has a few NSFW blogs under its belt and has committed to creating an open and free space for bloggers. So it’s possible that they may have a plan to re-introduce nsfw down the line but don’t want to open the flood gates during what will likely be a rather unstable period as the new staff starts tampering with the backdoor stuff.
Dunno if they’re gonna try to tackle that Child Grooming problem.
