really love that part near the end of “i wanna feel calm” when iain’s “i want to cherish every insignificance” bounces from right ear to left ear while callum sings the melody in the middle
10/10 sensation thank you bears 💙
British dirtbag boyband Bears in Trees the band you are <3
The show tonight really was something else. BiT has been one of my comfort bands, and just one of my two favourite bands in general, for like half a decade at this point. Andd to finally get to see them play a headline show was just. Gaaaahhh
I hadn't quite realised just how small the venue would be until I was inside of it. But my god if that small room wasn't just bursting with queer joy. The sheer happiness that radiated off of the band every single second they were on that stage is just so wonderful to see. But it pales to all the happiness, joy, hope, passion and love that I saw all around me in the audience really just, makes me so happy.
This was the first concert I'd bought myself tickets to in like, at least a year and a half. And I think it might genuinely be my favourite out of every concert I've been to in the past 8 years that I've been going to shows.
Hearing the same songs that have gotten me through some shitty moments, that I've cried to, get belted out by a chorus of over a hundred other people. That's just an experience that never ceases to amaze me. No matter the size of the crowd.
Apathy is boring as the extra song for selling out as well just,,, !!!! Ramblings of a Lunatic and Fresh Concrete are already two of my favourite BiT songs. And then to get a third of my faves added to that it's just! Gaaahhh
Also a shout out to Soot Sprite honestly? I knew nothing about them but they were wonderful as well. And the way their lead seemed to lose track of her words during every one of her talking bits as soon as her script ran out is honestly such a mood. That's how I feel every time I'm in front of a crowd as well tbh
Thank you Bears in Trees for being the band you are. For making music the way you want to, music that hits the deepest parts of my soul song after song. But also music that brings together such wonderful crowds and creates a space that gets to be so full of (queer) joy
And also, Nick's necktie was absolutely amazing and I have a strong need for it
BEARS IN TREES COLLABORATIVE ZINE
Greeting fellow Bears in Trees fans !!! We are planning a collaborative zine and need YOUR help. If you would like to contribute anything at all please fill out this form to let us know !!!
Update: The interest check is now closed! Application forms will first be sent out to people who completed the interest check, then posted here and on our other socials!
You will be creating one A5 page of a full zine. The zine will be printed and stapled together as opposed to the traditional folded kind of zine, as we are expecting quite a few contributions. Like the zines BiT sell on their website!
Contributions can be anything you like as long you've made it (no AI) and it can be printed into a zine. That can be a drawing/collage/poem/piece of writing about anything to do with Bears in Trees from specific songs to the community to your own experiences.
All skill levels are welcome, the more the merrier !!!
This project is organised by:
Scout @zinesbyscout
Mars @marsmaladeee
Marta @tetefleurie
Eden @iamsomewhere-iguess

Recently I was thinking about how surprised I am when I find out that someone genuinely likes me and enjoys my company (because emotional trauma). I’ve spent years avoiding social interactions because, in my mind, my presence is something that is tolerated, not enjoyed. At times that idea has made me deeply sad.
Then today Spotify was like, just a reminder- Bears in Trees has a song kinda like that.
Because of course they do.
I cannot express how important it is to know that other people can relate to that feeling, even if they are just strangers who wrote a song.
Recently I’ve been making efforts to open up and build friendships again, because even if I am not everyone’s cup of tea, I am someone’s cup of tea.

If I just think hard enough the bears will cause more cassettes
