Makuta Baelox of the Great Culling Alternate Universe
The Rahi of the Matoran Universe are as diverse as the individual personalities and interests of the Makuta who made them. Of notable interest are the Rahi created by Makuta Baelox, who heavily leaned towards predatory creations; an example of which is the Vuhlee, a viscous hunter that stalks those foolish enough to wander into the more volcanic regions of the Tren Krom Peninsula. Baelox gifted this creation with sharp claws and a secondary set of jaws, allowing to rip and tear through hides with relative ease. As if this wasn’t enough, the Vuhlee’s bite is toxic, and those who survive the encounter soon fall prey to its venom shortly afterward. Indeed, the Vuhlee will often merely bite its prey once, then allow it to escape, stalking it from afar as it waits for it to succumb to the Vuhlee’s toxins. Baelox takes great pride in how his creations all savor the thrill of the hunt. In a way, he lives vicariously through them, for you see, no one enjoys the principle of the hunt more than he.
Such is his lust for it that he wears the Great Mask of Hunting, a Kanohi that allows him to mark a target and experience life through its eyes. To see what it sees, to hear what it hears.To feel its terror as he closes in on them. To feel its pain as the blasts from his Disruptor ravage its body. Such is what Baelox lives for.
And now, Baelox has the opportunity to stalk the greatest prey of all: Helryx and her Order of Mata Nui.
The hunt begins.
Credit where credit is due, Baelox here uses a leg build by @beardlydesigns, which I don’t think he ever used. I might modify it further in the future, to sort of make it my own. They look fantastic, though.
I really enjoyed making this, from the boosters on his back to the CCBS armor integrated with G1 parts. I need to get those gray CCBS limbs in black, though. Maybe get his heel pieces in black while i’m at it.
Overall, a satisfying build for me.
