Hello! I see you've been talking about the new 52 comics, and I was wondering, why exactly do you not like them all that much? I know it's your opinion and all, I was simply curious. I happen to kinda like them, but I've only recently gotten into the actual comics stuff so I don't exactly have good judgement XD
It's all good, it's a valid question and I don't mind explaining myself. :)
I basically just flat-out despise all the changes New 52 brought. I've said before that I don't mind changes in comics (for the most part), because in order for a long-running series to remain "fresh" then it's necessary to make some alterations along the way--I don't think Batman or Superman would be the household names that they are today if their respective titles had just been the same material over and over again. But it only works if the changes are improvements (or at the very least faithful), and IMO the New 52 is the exact opposite. Some of my favorite characters--like Scarecrow and Harley Quinn--went through transformations that altered everything from their background to their appearance, and not for the better.
I did try to give it a chance; I read a couple issues of Suicide Squad, Scarecrow's arc in The Dark Knight, and a few Villains Month issues, but I disliked them so much that I didn't pursue any other New 52 works and instead choose to stick with pre-reboot comics.
