I realize I didn't post yesterday, life and school got in the way. Judging by how quickly my classes are picking up, missing a post might happen more often then I would like. But to make up for it, I will tell you that yesterday I slipped on a tomato slice and almost fell. Which was really weird, not because I managed to not fall (I'm the clumsiest), but because it wasn't in a kitchen or restaurant or anywhere that you would expect a tomato slice to be laying around. It was in the middle of campus. I slipped on a tomato slice while walking on a side walk in the middle of campus? Just weird, don't you agree?  I also went out for dinner to Bean Bar, a place where the food mindblowingly delicious. Apparently the warm portobello salad is the best, I know someone who would seriously back me up on this statement... so if you ever go, you know what to order.

As for today,    

This may come as a surprise, and like most of the people I've told you might ask "WHY would you take that course?!", but this year I'm taking a french class. I've always been intrigued by the potential to know another language, French in particular for various reasons including (but limited to) my family's french background and my personal love affair with Montreal.  Today, at 8:30 am I might add, was my very first french tutorial. And today, at 8:40am, when I was unexpectedly expected to converse en français, I was pleasantly surprised and refreshed and reassured by my competency in the language that I had abruptly abandoned three years ago. This 8:30 tutorial that I would have hated if it was any other subject, instantly became the highlight of my day. 

From where I'm standing, being bilingual is awesome. And ditching your tomato slices in very unlikely places is cruel.
