Greetings, Saplings! With only 99 days left on the clock, the TGHS community is preparing to say goodbye to our graduating manongs and manangs of Batch 2023. With this, we would like to give them the opportunity to share the experiences and wisdom they gathered over their six year stay through our project Bákhay: Unearthing Stories.
The project is currently in progress, but below are excerpts from interviews with some students:
“The difficulties that I experienced over the past six years have not necessarily been welcome, though I think that they have pushed me into growing as a person. I hope that the current and future students of TGHS will do their best to be patient with themselves, as choosing to persevere through hardships is challenging to do.” –Beatrice Marie O. Ginto, Grade 12 Peter
“Wishing the best for the incoming members of the student council. Remember to trust in your own skills during tough times.” –Edith D. Go, Secretary of the TGHS Student Council
“In all honesty, being a Business Manager wasn’t something I expected to do. It has been very stressful, and there were many nights I spent wondering if I made the right choice. But, at the same time, I’m glad that I got to meet new people and spend time with my friends, so it wasn’t all that bad.” –Elizabeth V. Martinez, Business Manager of the TGHS Student Council
