He was once Rob Hunt, a boy kicked out of the orphanage before he was thirteen, sent to work in factories. He’d grown hardened, watching all the friends he’d ever known get beaten and mistreated. Rob swore he would get out of this life.
Somehow, he’d sweettalked his way out of factories and into the serving life, which paid better and was more secure – except once he was among the rich, his desire to live among them only grew.
Enter Cruella De Vil. She was a wicked, wild woman, with an appetite he could cater to. They began a passionate love affair, and a bit later the oh-so tragic death of her husband occurred due to a very unfortunate staircase accident. Unfortunate!
Rob swooped in to comfort his employer. It was scandalous, certainly, but nothing a well-tied pack of money shoved in society gossip’s tin won’t heal.
Cruella and Rob are taking their three lovely (and bratty) children to America, in order to heal the very financially packed wound that the death of Harold left them all.

Name: Reza Devereaux
Class: Second Class
Marital Status: Married to his wife, who is in French protectorate of Tunisia
Partner (if applicable): Rafika Deveraux (nee Ali)
Occupation: Pro-independence politician in the French Protectorate of Tunisia
Biography:
Reza Devereaux was born the oldest of three children, in 1876, in a province of the decaying Ottoman Empire. His father, a French-Italian businessman named Luigi Devereaux, married the daughter of a well-off native Tunisian family in 1875, and the following year, Reza was born. In 1878, the destiny of Reza’s homeland was negotiated by European powers, without giving Tunisia a seat at the table at the Congress of Berlin.
It was determined that France would be the colonial masters of Tunisia, in exchange for England having Cyprus. Reza had not yet begun to form memories, so he doesn’t remember life before officially living under the French Protectorate as of 1881.
His father was a wealthy European man with political sway, his mother, a secret Tunisian sorceress from a well-off family, and Reza lived an existence that constantly toed the line between colonizer and colonized. He spoke the French and Italian that the colonizers gave their land, and the Turkish and Arabic left over from the Ottomans. He could recite verses from his mother’s Qur’an and from his Catholic father’s Bible; though he knew not to recite the Qur’an in font of his father, and that he mustn’t admit to being able to recite all of Romans to his cousins.
Reza himself got married in 1902, to socialite Rafika Ali, as being married would help his budding political career. Two years later ,their daughter and so far only child, Sabiha was born.
His father’s brother lives in Quebec, and is a bit of political genius. Reza and Sabiha are aboard the Titanic to spend some time with him in Montreal, and for Reza to seek his advice on furthering the independence movement in Tunisia. As his uncle is a figurehead in the Francophone independence movement in Canada, it’s worth Reza’s while.\
And, hell. anything to get away from his wife, whom he cannot recall ever loving.
Name: Ralph O’Reilly
Class: Third
Marital Status: Single
Partner: NA
Occupation: Boilerman
From birth, the world had let Ralph O’Reilly know he was not wanted. His father was a professor, and his mother- well, his mother had been a giantess. Ralph had never known her, only known that the moment he arrived in Swynlake in his father’s arms, even they had reacted with disgust and mistrust.
He grew up a lonely child, kept from the school house and refused an education for fear of him hurting another student with his large, clumsy limbs and his father hopping from job to job after the university quickly fired him. Soon Ralph was taking on small jobs of his own, running deliveries too big for the other boys while his father worked in the factories. He continued to work in Swynlake until an unfortunate accident took the life of his father, and seventeen-year-old Ralph took off for greener pastures.
He never found them, only a world even less accepting than Swynlake had been, and over time, he stopped looking. He began to find work on shipyards, where men who could lift several times their own weight were in constant demand, and developed a sturdy pair of sea legs. The Titanic is just the next job for him, although a quiet part of him can’t help but think of the rumors of a more tolerant America... and hope.
Name: Ariel Nerissa Triton
Class: First Class
Marital Status: Single
Occupation: N/A
Biography:
Ariel was born the youngest in a large family and always, always the first one to break the mold and challenge things and dare to ask: Why? Why did people hate Magicks? Why wasn’t it as accepted as it should be? Why weren’t more people trying to change it?
Unfortunately, there were never enough answers, never mind good ones. This frustrated her, as most things did. For example, as the daughters of an extremely wealthy and important ship-maker, Ariel and the rest of her sisters were supposed to be... well, perfect. Polite, well-mannered, and never out of line. Ariel had never been too good at sitting still, and she found herself yelled at quite often for being far too outspoken.
Now, here she is, on another of her father’s ships. One of the best parts of her father’s occupation, in Ariel’s opinion. She loved to travel, and she loved to meet new people, and of course, as any overprotected, trapped-feeling young woman does -
She loved romance.
Ariel looks for romance everywhere she goes, especially when aboard her father’s ships. After all, quite a few of her sisters had met their husbands aboard their father’s works. Who’s to say she wasn’t next?
Name: Alice Liddel
Class: Second Class
Marital Status: Engaged
Partner (if applicable): Thomas O’Malley
Occupation: N/A
Biography:
Alice Liddel was born into a wealthy family that owned it’s own Trading Company, and wanted for nothing. On the outside, the Liddel family seemed perfectly normal. And for the most part, they were.
Except that from a young age, little miss Alice was always causing trouble.
She told impossible stories and caused trouble left and right, and got on the bad side of her mother’s temper quite often. Luckily, her father had always been there for her, always believed her crazy tales-
Until he died.
Left alone with her mother, Alice and Mrs. Liddel were soon in a predicament: A company with no one to run it and money dwindling fast. The solution, according to Alice’s mother? Sell the company for a very large profit, and marry her daughter off to keep their status.
Alice of course is less than thrilled with the entire idea. Engaged to a stranger (not that it was his fault, of course,) and shipped off was just not how she’d planned on things going for her. She’d wanted to see the world like her father, and go on adventures, and never be tied down like all her friends around her.
Unfortunately, she hasn’t much of a choice. Their parents decided a little trip was what they needed in order to get to know each other better before the wedding. Little did they know, Alice didn’t have any plans on getting cozy with Mr. O’Malley, as charming as he may appear to be.

Born to a very poor farming family in Derry, Peter and his twin brother Percy had very little. Despite more than a sixty year distance from the famine his family still felt the pang of hunger in their stomachs and hung their heads solemnly in church for those who were lost. His Da’ used to whisper about revolution before he passed, and good ol’ Daniel O’Connell who apparently gave the boys the clothes on their backs, food in their bellies, the home that warmed them, just about everything. “Ye c’n tank yer man Danny fer t’at bread t’ere, boys. W’t’out him, we’d be payin’ t’ King’s church all our wages. N’ t’en where’d we be, eh?”
Thankfully his Ma’ died before she saw her boys leave the farm for the city. It would’ve damn near broke her poor heart to see them go. But there was work to be gotten in the city if you were a man and had two good hands. The only place with bigger and better opportunities was America, and by some stroke of incredible luck, his brother has found a way to get them both there.

Name: Monica Charlotte Chino
Class: Second
Marital Status: Single
Partner: N/A
Occupation: Secretarial School Student
Biography
Monica Chino found herself aboard a ship full of those she may know, those she knew of but had no interest in knowing, and some of the most interesting people she might find herself knowing.
Hailing from Paris, her family owned various well regarded cafes and made their money that way. Her father was Capitano in the Regia Marina, Italy’s royal navy. He sailed through the Mediterranean and made a stop in Marseille where he met her mother who was vacationing.
Monica had always had a penchant for reading, beginning to teach herself languages before her family could think to hire a formal tutor just so that she could read literary passages in English, French and Italian with high comprehension.
Her father saw her potential, seeing that she was destined to travel far beyond where she was. Using his contacts and some money from her mother’s side of the family, he secured her a ticket aboard the Titanic. The one catch was that she had to agree that she was going to America in order to enroll in one of the women’s colleges (to pursue secretarial work) and eventually marry some sort of well off businessman. Whether she’d follow that path or stray in New York in a cultural whirlwind of a city, well, what she didn’t put in her letters they’d never know right?
