“ Hm. “ It’s impulse to try to rack his brain if he’d taken Ace on a case to cause such a reaction. But he’s mostly been working on his own again during the last ones to prompt such an elaborate attempt to garner empathy. Smart dog this one. And Bruce knows better than to encourage it, its true but there is some respect for the animal nonetheless. 

He’s walking along then, patting him once and just keeps going, fully expecting Ace to follow once he’s realized Bruce is going for the kitchen. Getting the box of treats from the shelf before he turned to face him. 

     “ I do not encourage this but we’ll definitely have to find a good way to make use of your acting skills in our next case. “  And throws a treat into the air for him to catch. 

They know that he knows. They know that he knows that they know- Okay you get the picture. They know. Both of them. There is a very amused grin on Loki’s face. Oh they have waited for a moment this sweet. It’s been a long time coming. They deserve this. Gloves are off. Gauntlet thrown. Literally speaking. They had taken off their gloves and thrown one as far as they could, which was pretty impressive for someone with so skinny arms. Calmly they watched it land in the wet grass. Allowed Ace to just feel the anticipation. 

Finally they unclipped the large dog. “Go get it.”

He doesn’t even blink. If anything he holds the cup to make it easier for ace to have at it. When the dog seems finished he takes a sip himself. Not a worry in the world.

   he’s yet to bite into the hot dog he’d procurred for himself when the snarl catches him a tad off guard. it takes him a solid second, before he makes the connection, gaze going from the dog to the hot dog he’s holding and then back to the canine, eyes narrowing a second. that’s rude.

Fiver stared at the monstrous canine that rested his head between the bars of the human place, frowning. He had often chased his people off of the property, a scary, fierce creature that threatened to kill them and now he wanted to hear a STORY?

kneeling  down  in  front  of  the  dog ,  thomas  removed  his  cowl  and  stretched  out  a  hand ,  open  palmed  and  facing  up  for  the  animal  to  sniff  or  do  as  he  wanted .

ace comes out of nowhere and leaps up at him. Enough that it pulls Bruce down to kneel. Giving the dog easier access to paw and lick away at him to his heart’s content. Pulling enough of a smile from the male that he’d forgotten what he was displeased about just minutes before. Hand scratching and stroking the good boy’s fur. 

     “ I get it, buddy. Want to go outside and play some fetch? “
