At least the contestants she’d been partnered with seemed like people who wouldn’t laugh at her for being scared. Except Norman. He might’ve laughed a little just then. ‘I just want to apologise in advance for waking people up screaming these next few nights,’ she murmured with a nervous smile. Put Emma in front of whatever audience and she could deliver some of the most powerful speeches. Put her in a room with a few fake monsters, however? Her power vanished. ‘I promise I’ll keep it down to a minimum as much as possible.’
