All across the west coast, wildlife depend on the annual herring spawn for survival. In the Strait of Georgia, alarming population declines are putting entire coastal ecosystems at risk. We need to let the herring live and bring an end to the current unsustainable commercial fishery before it's too late. However, on this day during spawning season, the shoreline was revolving with rising schools turning the coast from dark blue to creamy white. In high abundance, these #BIGLittleFish can pack a punch.
