“I know that you’ve been really stressed out lately.” Luther grinned at Bella as he nudged her side. He really didn’t know if she was too stressed out lately, it seemed like all the gossip magazines had taken a break from bashing her, but he knew she had her inner demons that took a toll on her. Lately even Luther has suffered from extra stress and while he usually went to the gym to get rid of it, he also did something else. When he grew up in Columbus, his friends and him would go to the local laser tag place and play a few rounds against people from the next town. It was something he enjoyed doing, even now at the age of 26 it seemed a bit childish. Still, when he found a place in LA that still did laser tag it quickly became his new favorite place to go. So today, as he sat in the Uber SUV with Bella, he decided to bring her to take some stress out of her life. Even if it didn’t get rid of her problems it was nice temporary fix, and to be honest Luther just wanted to spend more time with her. To get to know her better, as friends, of course. She left before he even woke the other day and he meant to ask her about it, but he thought it would be better to ignore it and act like nothing happened. Even if she hadn’t left his mind since that day. “But I promise, you won’t even know what stress is anymore after where I take you.”

the awards show had been over for 30 minutes now, yet luther was still stuck at the venue because he hadn’t found travis yet. he’d assume he’d be off, cooling someone down from what had happened earlier, but every time luther texted him he didn’t receive a reply back. he had asked a crew member if they’d seen his bandmate and the person gestured towards backstage, mumbling something about seeing the host. luther frowned, wondering why his best friend would be back there, but he headed in that direction anyway. he saw a door with a familiar name on it and realized it must have been bella’s dressing room. he was far away enough that when the door opened and he saw travis slip out with bella the couple didn’t see him. he stood still, watching the scene before him and had assumed that they had a quick... rendezvous in her dressing room. luther was aware of the specific relationship between the two, having almost caught them in the act multiple times, but the way travis left looked different than before. and the frown and upset look on bella’s face was also different than usual. luther was so focused on the look on her face and wondering why she was so sad that he didn’t notice when bella made eye contact with him. he felt as if he got caught eavesdropping on their conversation and immediately an apologetic look slipped onto his features. “sorry, uhm, i was... just looking for travis.” he glanced back to his friend, who had already walked down the hallway and fortunately didn’t notice luther standing there. “but i guess i missed him...” he looked back at bella and was immediately concerned. a part of him said that he should just walk away and catch up to travis, but another part wanted to check up on the girl. “are you okay?”

killian was going to tip off the paps that he was going to have dinner with bella, but decided against it, thinking that it’s too soon to start calling in favors. their relationship was sitll new, so people were still interested. as soon as they sat down there were two paps across the street, unashamedly taking pictures of the two. he looked back at bella, a smile on his face. “look who decided to join us.” he gestured towards the street, taking his sunglasses off. “this was a great idea. nice call on eating on the patio.” he was surprised that she had suggested it, a part of him still wondering if this was all too much too soon for her, but he was beginning to realize that he didn’t really know the blonde at all. and that would have to change on some level if they wanted to look authentic in interviews. “i checked, and this place doesn’t have grilled cheese, so i guess this won’t be the perfect date we wanted to show off.” he teased her, with the only fact he knew about her.

luther: my cuz wanted me to tell u that she loved ur performance at the amas.

“i hope you don’t mind coming with me to the shelter.” he smiled at bella, as she slid into the passenger seat of his car. “but we’re going to have to make a pit stop... i realized i don’t actually own anything for a dog, and i should probably get some supplies before i have the little guy suffering in my apartment.” luther smiled sheepishly, starting the car up again and pulling out, driving towards the pet store. “besides, i know you haven’t left your apartment much, and i figured that the only way to lure you out was by dangling a cute dog in your face.”
