HOT TAKE²
Evil family is not as good as some people claim it to be
This episode is one of the most overglazed and overrated episodes in show it even has a 8.9 imdb score
At first it's about Chip realizing his mistakes and errors that why his plans always fail? And he understand it's because Greens are a united family so he wants his own family of evil villains Basically the villains work together to fight against heros trope, you see I have a love-hate relationship with this trope because it's interesting and adds more tension, threat, danger and dynamics but from otherwise it's mean the show is over for some villains and some villains might even not get development and that's mean they show want get rid of some villains even when barely know about them
Similar to legion of doom from mlp, the last villains of mlp:fim
All of them got their ending but the only developed members are just tirek and chrysalis.
King Sombra treated as a joke and defeated so easily, cozy glow barley has development when she needs it the most and Grogar the legend and the father of monsters? Turned out it was discord!
This is the reason why I dislike this trope it leavs and ends so many underdeveloped characters
The same happens in Big City Greens
And the ONLY developed character of them was chip Whistler and he wins over other characters while that doesn’t existed that much in previous seasons but now just let's look
We have Chip, Greg, babe, the order of the Fang (Viper Fang, spider Fang, wolf fang)
And they literally gives up two new characters with great designs and voice asking just to get rid of them in their second episode, they could develop them and develop Vasquez and Remy and order's lore instead they give him the status they could give to any other villain instead they had to waste and throw their most interesting and mysterious and darkest villains they had. But no wonder, because in season 4 the show almost forgotten that Remy and Vasquez are part of the main cast
And another problem is that through the episode especially the first half it was boring just flash backs and chip looking for a evil family and chasing Remy and then then the Order arrived and captured Remy and ect. Which was the best part of this episode,I liked when Viper Fang was rude and looking down on chip because it's very Viper Fang, rude, angry, arrogance, lack of worth and respect for outsiders and only thinks of the Order and himself just like what he actually is
But after Vasquez arrived and they wanted to fight him chip wanted to fight him and then he got kicked and beaten by Vasquez over and over again and then they decide "wow, let's make this guy our leader!" Like are you serious?! He would destroy the Order, he even couldn't careless about you and the Order! It's very out of character for him like he called him Master and now to him minutes after he said
"did you to command me? The Order of the Fang can only led by someone truly fearless, resilient and clever not some stinky sewer rat!"
That's how he talks and acts
But let's talk about Greg and babe
Greg is really weird from start because by working for Chip he gains NOTHING but we can't say more, that's what he created for from the start
And babe, it's makes no sense for me like you find out your boyfriend is evil and you wants to be evil too? I don't know it was just too shocking! I don't know to my it's just feels like a joke or shock value
And this episode is not as good as people make it out to be, I feel like people only like it because of Chip or maybe the Order it was Hella rushed, throw away potential of other characters and the script feels like was written by Chip himself
