BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF MASSACHUSETTS TO HOST BOSTON YOUNG HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS DISCUSSION ON ETHICS AND BUSINESS STRATEGY
BOSTON – April 1, 2014 – On April 10, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA), in partnership with the Boston Young Health Professionals (BYHP) will host a panel discussion entitled, “Ethics and Business Strategy in Health Care.” The event, which is open to the public, will be hosted at BCBSMA’s headquarters in Boston from 5:30pm - 8:00pm.
“Health care is one of the largest drivers of Boston’s economy, so this group fulfills a critical need to develop the next generation of health care leaders,” said Katie Barrett, Senior Manager of Performance Measurement and Improvement at BCBSMA and upcoming panelist at the April 10th together successfully. BYHP promotes values of collaboration and knowledge-sharing that will benefit our industry for years to come.”
The event will explain why health care organizations require strategic leadership to achieve financial success in a complex industry. BYHP believes that business ethics is a critical skill for young professionals to learn early in their career, and the panel of strategic leaders across the health care industry will have an in-depth conversation around this topic. In addition to a panel discussion, the event will also feature breakout sessions with the panelists and open networking. The cost for attendees who are not BCBSMA associates or BYHP members is $15.
