I watched A Bronx Tale because the girlies were making it seem like it was gonna be cute, saying i want a romance like this.... So, no the fuck you don't, you're all delulu That movie was so ass and i will never understand why people hype it up the way they do or romanticize it. The whole movie is just weird, we have the main dude calling his gfs brother a slur and never apologizing for it, yet she still goes with him. His bullshit excuse being that he was angry and that it just slipped out, cause considering how he grew up yeah, obviously he's not going to be a good person or have a good mindset about other groups of people (even if he is saying he does you can tell it differs) - They tried to make him "different" because he wasn't completely racist like the others around him....but that didn't make him any less of a bad character - if they wanted him to be compelling idk make him not a piece of shit and not just have words "slip out" because he's angry and can't control himself like a toddler. I feel like there's many things that could've been done and changed in this movie, i think if it was a longer running time they would be able to make something actually good. I think if the point of the movie wasn't C learning a very few life lessons and then having a flimsy love story it'd maybe be good. The time era it's set... you can honestly probably do a few things to make it different and stand out...or whatever the fuck they were trying to do. C had potential I'll say that, he had potential to be something good and a character you can remember etc, he was just fucked over majorly like everyone in this movie. I personally think C was very stiff when it came to certain actions, where you can see what he SHOULD be doing and then he just doesn't...if that makes sense. I don't really like how things were set up in the movie either, we didn't really get that much time with C and Jane together ( the two that're suppose to be love interests) Jane didn't pop up all that much so you don't really have much time to get a feel for them....but it doesn't matter cause C messes it up the feel anyways just by being himself. Half the movie feels like a waste and the characters are nothing burgers lowkey -- The one who wasn't really terrible was Sonny, the boss of his mafia gang thingy, he wasn't better than anyone but he wasn't worse. Like i said Jane wasn't really in the movie a whole bunch so she didn't have much characterization to her and she was kind of left flat and just going along with whatever C was doing, after she was angry for a whole maybe 8 minutes of the movie ofc and then very forgiving even though she had the right to drop and leave his ass which she should've. god i hate that fucking movie, i hate a lot, this wont be the last of me....
