Some Fresh News
Hey there, sorry for the delay a lot of things changed for us in the past few months. Here we go for a quick recap !
-First of all Manu joined us. He’s now in charge of the general graphic design of Nice Penguins and currently working on Mobile Games. He made a new logo and we thought it was time to update the Website.
-We are now working in a different environnement (what we call a Third place). This is really motivating and we meet new people and get new opportunities. (See the “Where are we ?” section for more details)
-We have released the post-jam version of our GGJ15 Game : Dash & Popy versus The Goblins (That we have made with Pikoia and Shaktar for the graphics (They worked on Dreamble too) and T05 for the Music)
-Yvan, with Romain Emery and Wesley Deglise, worked on a Google Cardboard game during the BBQ Game Jam 14 called Diamond Thief Turbo Championship Edition. It is an asymmetrical Co-op game were the player with the carboard plays with the first person view. The other player has a map of the environnement and can interact with it. Their goal is to communicate to get the diamond at the end of the level. The main idea comes from the action films were the hero has to inflitrate a place while the sidekicks are in a van with “Hacking Stuff” to guide and help him. Unfortunately we didn’t continue the project and the only video of the game is a small presentation in French. If you want to see a similar game check this one : http://www.keeptalkinggame.com/
-We also participated in three Hackathons :
-Hackathon GEN Lorraine (In French) : We won the jury’s “Coup de Coeur” Price for the mobile App : “Ballade à Metz”. And then we created the App “Sounds of Metz” with Quentin and the city of Metz. (More infos in French)
-Hackathon Music Tech Metz (In French) : This was a moog werkstatt workshop and we’ve made a little glitch game. We worked with Laurent Steiner on this. (Presentation Video / Gameplay Video)
-Hackathon GEN Musique & Numérique (In French) : Yvan won, with the other members of the Jam Team (Eugénie Karadjoff and Let’s Shake Hands), the first place for the “Jam Pot” Mobile App. (More infos in French)
As of now we are working on several small mobile games like Bulbee. More details soon.
We are also making a game for the Third place, where we are working, called Blida Builders. Again more details will be coming soon.
