By the way, my headcanon is that Jason’s (and Aeson’s) last name is Caldwell when they were in our world. It’s an old english name that means From The Cold Water.Â
And Aeson appeared in the water from nowhere.

Now that we know Aeson is coming back for at least 2 episodes... it’s probably safe to say that Jason will learn about the other half of his parentage.
Does that mean we will get an explanation as to why he didn’t recognise Aeson when meeting him at the end of the last season? (Jack apparently said something about Jason being 7 when his father disappeared... that’s old enough that he should have  been able to recognise the face of his dad!)
Maybe even a mention of his... wait for it........ modern origin?!
...
(I’m still kinda convinced that Aeson had never actually left for modern London. He stayed in Atlantis the whole time and it was a friend of his who took Jason to London and brought him up. Well, up until he was 7.)
(Mostly because I just cannot imagine Aeson taking a cab or owning a mobile phone or... existing in the modern world, really.)
(TPTB better give a really good explanation for this.)
(See an older discussion about Aeson here.)
