Greetings my friends, and fret not. I’m not opening a bank or creating some new category of forbidden pleasures on Family Friendly Tumblr. First things first. I hope everyone enjoyed the reblogs, and I also want to thank everyone who reblogs other artist’s work here. Reblogs are the heart of this place! Thank you again. I may continue doing this every now and then. Now back to the title. Feeling a bit nostalgic these days, I’m remembering the many times years ago that friends, and sometimes even strangers would send me something commenting on how Brilliant and/or Beautiful a particular post was. Hence the BB. While admittedly they were being perhaps a bit too kind, my ego never even once failed to eat this up. However! LOL They inevitably added, and Simple. Head explodes! This always bemused me to put it kindly, because we all know Tumblr “don’t” like simple. Actually though that part was true and meant in a very complimentary manner. I guess if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...etc. Now I’d like to share a little honest and humorous wisdom taken from 12 step meetings of long ago, I’m an egomaniac with an inferiority complex. I’m sure some of you know exactly what that means. I certainly do. And on that note, while my ego wishes I was the best, most, whatever here, my heart finds great comfort in knowing that for over 20 years now I’ve been the best me writer I could possibly be. I feel very good about that. This is a gift we’ve each been given. We are truly blessed to be able to touch other people’s hearts with our words and art. In closing, regardless of how popular you are, or how well your art is received here, I truly hope you can say I’ve been the best me I possibly could be.
