In the spirit of giving out new information about them, have I mentioned Batear is gay and Fenneldust is bi. I have an extremely minor but irrelevant flight of fancy that they have both had a fling with fellow Dark Forest Demon Houndleap, and both of them feel too awkward about it to tell the other.

Fenneldust feels like she can't tell Batty because she knows he finds him attractive and doesn't want to be rude in getting to him first

Batear is embarassed he had a fling with him so fast and fell for his flirting so easily, and has quietly vowed that he won't say anything unless Fends does. Because if FENNELDUST says something then it's normal.

Palefoot was Batear's victim! Batear and Fenneldust were besties of different Clans in life, constantly breaking rules to hang out. One day Palefoot caught Fenneldust on the territory and told her if he saw her again, he'd kill her.

Batear then told PALEFOOT, "If you so much as look at Fenneldust I'll smash you to death with my hooves"

And then, during a ThunderClan raid on ShadowClan, Palefoot did just that. Killed Fenneldust. So OF COURSE, Batear made good on his threat.

Batear wasn't allowed to sit vigil for his best friend since she was a dead warrior of a different clan, so like, why the hell should he let Palefoot's family have that? Lol. Lmao even. He shoved the body in a bog, cleaned up, and said nothing.

There was never any evidence he killed Palefoot. His mother Houndstar DID exile him over the suspicion, since he had motive, but he kept his mouth shut til the day he died alone.
