Extremely bored, any random facts about the super minor character Crowfrost? Or are they cut completely?
I'm still shuffling the ShadowClan tree around (I keep running out of steam and re-doing it from scratch out of dissatisfaction) but I think Crowfrost is pretty neat.
He is probably going to get shuffled to the Po3 Apprentice Generation. I want to set up WHY he becomes Rowanstar's first deputy.
Why is he his first deputy?
For one, I want to make him Rowan's SECOND apprentice, or connected to him in some way. Establish that Rowan himself is a really good mentor and quite respected.
For two, Crowfrost is resourceful. He's young during Blackstar's Bog Project, but takes an interest in it. Smart kid.
He's a good logistics guy, more practical and calm than Rowanstar who tends to think with his heart and claws in that order.
I keep WANTING to have him he related to Finchflight somehow, as a great-grandchild or something, because I imagine they both have weird ringed eyes. There's a circle of color around his pupils. But this tree is like pulling teeth.
Him and Dawnpelt were really good parents. They adored their kits. Crowfrost was particularly proud of Sleekwhisker; he didn't live to regret dismissing her rebellious phase.
Yellowcough doesn't kill on its own; it causes secondary lung damage if not treated with mullein. Onestar's embargo lead to Crowfrost having a slow, agonizing death.
He survived the illness but his cough kept coming back, and he eventually succumbed to it via pneumonia just when it seemed like he was out of danger.
Simple guy, but I do hope that seeing him as an apprentice in Po3 will help establish him better before his role in AVoS. During the Beach Episode I mention every now and then, it's probably Crowpaw who invents some kind of game all the apprentices will play, lmao. Or at the very least he did some quick thinking to fix a problem.
(Like for example, someone else "invents" the idea of a Clan cat volleyball game, but Crowpaw is the one who quickly constructs a ball or a scorekeeping system)
