Our next stop on the Cowboys and Aliens Trip was another mountain. This one people chiseled big heads into. I prefer to just take selfies. It’s a lot faster! More cool for me, though, next we found Fort Hayes which was a Location for the movie Dances with Wolves and I sat on the desk from the movie! After Yellowstone we went to a very special place - Mashed Potato Mountain!! 🏔 ok... that’s not it’s real name - it’s really called Devil’s Tower and its the first ever US National Monument. But more special, it’s from the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind - which I LOVE!! It was soooooooooooo cool to be there!!! If you’ve seen the movie you know Roy Neary sculpts this mountain out of his mashed potatoes! 😂 it’s truly beautiful and magical (the real place, not the potatoes!)! It’s a must-see, especially if you love the movie! Honestly this whole Cowboys and Aliens Trip was created so that we could adventure here!! 🐼 🚘 🤠 👽 From Instagram

After Jackson Hole we ventured into Yellowstone National Park - and saw even more beautiful scenery and animals eating. Always eating. Nobody wants to chat. Oh well... we saw lots of geysers - did you know Yellowstone is basically a big volcano 🌋?? Scary, but cool! And, I finally saw a real bear!!! 🐻 just walk-in across the road! Tried to chat, but he was too far away and, obviously, had places to go... but a real bear! Woo!! What a life he (or she?) must have in this beautiful park! It’s different for bears! Then we saw Old Faithful and headed back down the road into the sunset! (Well... not into it, it was really behind us, but you know what I mean...) From Instagram
