I've always loved Mycroft but Mycroft allowed Mary to stay close to John after Sherlock returned. He knew Mary's past, what she was capable of and that Sherlock wanted his old life with John back (and maybe more). He had to know that Mary shot Sherlock--and he let her stay and insinuate herself even further into John and Sherlock's life. He had to know that she mocked Sherlock and John to drive a wedge between them. Mycroft has to see Sherlock's Mary-inspired despair and self-loathing.
I tend to agree. Thinking of this always renews my suspicion - Mycroft has to have a reason for acting like this. Him being under Moriarty’s thumb still is my favourite theory =)

But didn’t I read that he sunk $2 million into the Homeless Olympics in Wales because they couldn’t come up with enough $$$ to sponsor it? And he said st the time he could do that—now and in the future if necessary—because he was at a time & place in his life when he could work his butt off & make $$$. He won’t make that kinda dough doing theater and to make real money he’ll need to travel to the filming for weeks/months at a time.
Yep, you read correctly! I’m not sure how much he gets per episode of Prodigal Son but he’s not been linked to anything beyond Price of Admission. Prodigal Son I think is done filming, Quiz is also wrapped, I read that The Voyage of Doctor Doolittle was filmed like 2-3 years ago, and Price of Admission is pre-production so he may have already been paid for most the things he’s done this year. So I would think if he’s that hard up for cash he’d be taking on even more, right? I think theatre might be an option for a few months to be near the baby through the holidays for all the “firsts” like Christmas, etc. IDK just some thoughts.
EDIT: I forgot There’s Something About Movies which also wrapped. Plus all that V/O work he’s done for The Book of Dust which I HIGHLY recommend even listening to a preview because his voice is absolute ear porn.
