Took a three hour nap because I want to be awake to see the eclipse and my sleep schedule is dumb right now.
Have this cat. I drew him a bit ago thinking I'd do more but naw, just this big lonely guy.

I don’t think these have been uploaded yet. I was holding onto them for a rainy day. Sorry the lines are so light! I pre-saved the file and forgot to double them.
I like to try to draw something cute before bed. Usually it’s just chicken scratch though, this actually kept me up late whoops.
Pile. When I draw Alf I just don’t give two flying fucks what his anatomy is doing.
Hodd is a legendary figure in the Cat’s Way who amassed a large enough following to really get things done. He was as good as a King without a country for a while.
He’s remembered for Hodd’s Road, which was actually an interconnection of many little roads and places. He got countries talking and trading, and made travel safer for everyone. His road was a product of his fame, though, not the origin.Â
He had the unique ability to call the attention of a monolith, in this case a TREMENDOUS spirit that manifested as a thunderstorm. It was nicknamed Hodd’s Tail because it frequently struck his tail with lightning.
They were a thing to be reckoned with when they were together. Â
Hodd left the known world, and without him the storm has gone back to a directionless deluge.

Alf has been in the Cat's Way since he was about nine years old. He has a sibling relationship with Din Din, but makes a good discount momma, too. She big.
A pretty basic info post on Spark Madness. I’d type more but it is my bed tiiime. Forgot to scribble in that madness can be worsened by injuries in rarer cases! MOST of Alf’s grouchy disposition has nothing to do with his sparks. That’s just how he is, but once it starts to worsen he gets pretty scary. Cats Way belongs to me. I don’t have any open species or open settings at this time. Sorry!

Is it particularly common among the baudrons then? Does Jim have it too? (Is Jim still around???)
It might be! I think ‘rough personalities’ are common among baudrons, and that spark madness might have something to do with that, but ironically they’re the first line of defense if one of the Monolith’s in the country side wakes up hungry. In fact, I think Hodd laid the foundation of his career as a living legend by organizing waves of baudrons AND familiars against threats like monoliths.
Jim actually doesn’t have very many sparks. He’s what the cats would think of as having a strong inner voice. He got mammoth results with very little.
Alf also has mammoth results (he’s not just big, he turns into a dragon, and his collar does tricks!), but it took him a lot of sparks to get there. His voice is weaker than Jim’s and probably a bit forced, too.Â
What determines results is different for each person. Self-doubt and a lack of a vision can be a big factor, which means Alf probably suffers a lot of self-doubt. He knew what he wanted from his sparks, he just had a hard time making it happen. Bare in mind, his collar was NOT part of his vision. It appeared with it.
