            ❛ This is so STUPID why did I even WANT to come here?❜  Ricky moans for about the fifteenth time in .. Two minutes. Every second sentence of Richmond Tozier’s was a complaint that night -- Standing in front of the high-school gym, smoking a cigarette probably way too fast. His unofficial to the public, yet official date standing around that he could whine to -- But just in a safe distance, a safe angle that the smoke would not direct into his face.

Considerate.

                        He couldn’t bare it.

          So today was like many others : the two of them trying to find  s o m e t h i n g  to do in the town they were forced to remain in. Well, at the very least until they graduated. What however prompted such a proclamation ?? Perhaps his fear of time, of not getting enough of it. Perhaps it was because he was tired of holding it in ; the whole world knew Richie could hardly keep much a secret. There were a lot of possibilities as to  w h y  — && even Richie himself couldn’t tell you. It just felt right. Like there was something deep within him that just had to let Eddie know, like if he didn’t the boy would no longer be able to go on.

                    DRAMATIC yes, but oh so Richie.

          The Tozier boy didn’t expect anything in return, after all he was ANNOYING, a nuisance to most ; he could admit this. Even when he went on && on && on, doing some voice or other, there actually was a small part of his brain that said yeah, maybe you should stop. He just never listened. Which is why Rich was happy just to be tolerated. 

                         Richie would have been content to just sit there in silence ( well, for a few seconds anyways ), && stare out into the canal below them. However Eddie’s words made him oh so aware of every nerve fiber, SHIVER running down his spine as Eddie leaned against his side. Breath caught in his throat, muscles stiff for a lingering moment before he slowly relaxed against the touch. A small grin curled up on his lips, lanky arm swinging around, resting around Eddie’s shoulders. 

          Nerves flopped around in his stomach, knowing fully well what this feeling meant. After all, Richie did have crushes before. Shame however, for none compared to this, none could be as damning as this. One wrong move && Richie was well aware this could all be fucked up, && that was the last thing he wanted.

                         Again, something he couldn’t bare.

          sometimes mike amazed even himself how he was able to strike fear into the ASSHOLES they went to school with. though he supposed that going from a short, frog-faced boy to a six foot-something ( and still growing ), intimidating teen had something to do with it. he’d been bullied ENOUGH in the past, he’d easily decided, and he’d be damned if he was going to put up with it anymore. it wasn’t just himself that he stood up for, however. he didn’t let any of his friends get harassed either. that included eddie. though they’d both gotten taller, while mike had shot up like a bean stock, eddie’s growth had been a lot slower in comparison, and as such, the bigger, nastier kids at their school deemed him an easy target.

          it wasn’t that mike didn’t think that eddie couldn’t hold his own, but he always felt that it was better to be SAFE than SORRY, and he knew that most of the students had learned better by now NOT to fuck with anyone in the party. every once in a while, they still had to be reminded though. THIS was one of those times.

         ‘ You do know it’s a bit weird right ? ’ She doesn’t even know why she’s following him to his car, but there’s still a somewhat dumb smile on her face. ‘ You having a first aid kit in your car... You’re like a germaphobe. ’ She admitted softly before clearing her throat. ‘ And I’m fine really! Who would I be if I couldn’t take a punch or two ? ’ The black eye and busted lip where the only physical proof of the confrontation Elizabeth just had.

        It had started out like another Saturday night, Elizabeth at a random bar, trying to find inspiration for her next gallery exhibit. That’s when she spotted it, a man harassing another, trying to get his information which the latter certainly didn’t want to give to him. She walks over, giving the smaller male a wink before wrapping an arm around his shoulder. Elizabeth went with the whole theatrics of pretending to be Eddie’s ( she’d found out the name by a quick whisper ) girlfriend.

        But that didn’t seemed to be enough, so Elizabeth was nice enough to pull the other man outside and kick his ass. Though she had underestimated her opponent. Receiving a black eye and busted lip in result. When Eddie saw her he pleaded to fix her up and that was how Elizabeth was here.

The strangest things always happened on the most ordinary of days. Derry was about as average as Chapin had been, and just as picturesque in a greener way. As far as Kaden could tell, the only difference was... Something in the air, or perhaps the water. Something just hung, and maybe it had something to do with all the people that went missing... Mostly kids Kaden’s age. That, or the bullies being worse than usual.

Or maybe it was something more than that. 

On his way home after his shift at the coffee shop, Kaden rounded the corner and glanced down the alley by happenstance. Reflecting on it later, he wondered how different things would have been if he didn’t look down the alley.

But he did, and he saw the slumped figure of a small boy down there. Kaden didn’t think-- he turned and sprinted into the alley, immediately dropping to his knees beside the other boy. 

He was on his way home from school one day when he happened to walk past Bowers and his gang harassing some kid. A second look and Bill realised he knew the kid. They didn’t talk, but he was in Bill’s class – Eddie he thought his name was.

The logical part of him told him to walk away, but when he saw them waving Eddie’s inhaler just out of his face, laughing as the boy wheezed, he knew he couldn’t just walk on with a clear conscious.

Bill’s assistance hadn’t happened in the slightest, Eddie’s inhaler had been tossed to the ground and Bill had been roughed up a little for daring to get in Henry’s way. It had taken his attention off the other kid at least.

Once they were gone, Bill picked himself up and retrieved the inhaler, holding it out for Eddie.

“Yuh-you okay?”
