A day in the park.
Ah summer. A beautiful time of the year. The weather is nice and the sun is shinning and of course the best part, no school. A great day for Marvin to take his skateboard for a go in the local park.
He was trying to perfect his rail grinding today. Something he had been working at for awhile. Marvin strapped on all his gear, and head out the door. Their were lots of little random rails and stairs with rails at the park so it was a great place to practice.
Approaching a railing Marvin speed up slightly, crouching, then ollieing up to the rail, turning his body so that the the middle part of the board would be on the rail. He could hit the rail just fine, it was landing that was the problem. He shifted his body weight back so that the wheels were facing foreword again to land...
...Except he didn't land the way he planned to. The front edge of the board hit the ground instead of the wheels, causing him to fall foreword onto the ground. With and umf he hit the ground, his pads helping to protect him from serious injury.
Sighing, he got back up and grabbed his board up from where it flew into the grass. He repeated the process a couple more times sticking the landing the last time. Marvin threw his arms up in excitement, still rolling down the sidewalk and into someone.
"Whoa !" Marvin quickly turned the board, gripping his helmet to steer clear of the female he almost hit. "Sorry mam !" He stopped quickly, kicking his board up to his hand turning back to apologize.
To his surprise it was Megan he had ran into. "Oh hey Megan. Fancy seeing you here."
