A/N: This is trash, but I'm trash for Nurse/Cop AU’s. Also I’m not a nurse, nor a cop, I'm a 16 year old girl who cries about dogs, so this prob isn’t very realistic but neither is fan fiction soooooo

Nights at the hospital were hectic. Especially in Blüdhaven. Sometimes criminals from Gotham being overshadowed by the villains like Joker, Two Face, and even the Riddler would occasionally travel to the neighboring city in order to get some time in the spotlight, Other than that, most patients were just small time criminals thinking they had done nothing wrong whatsoever.

Tonight, there was a squad car that had rolled up behind an ambulance. Y/n met the officer in the middle as multiple patients were being unloaded and led into a hospital.

“What do you got for me tonight Officer?” You asked the tall dark haired, blue eyed officer as they walked together through the corridors.

“Well Mrs.Grayson, tonight we have a suspect under the influence of drugs. Crashed into another vehicle. Suspect most likely has a concussion and few minor injuries. One of the victims in the crash seems to have a dislocated shoulder from the impact. The other just needs a standard check.” Dick Grayson tells you.

“I’m not a Grayson yet Dick.” You tell your fiancé. “I know, but I like how it sounds. Mrs. Grayson.” He repeats once more and you roll your eyes. “Officer Grayson, we need you to question the victims.” A voice rings out over the radio on his chest.

“That’s my cue.” He says going to walk away. “I’ll see you at home.” “Mhmm.” You mutter before walking to the suspects room.

When you enter, he’s very dazed and confused as to what’s happening. His hands are under the blankets and you can see the glimmer of a handcuff cuffed to the bed. Typically an officer would be in here with you but there is nobody to be found.

“Sir, my name is Y/n, I’m just gonna do some check-ups on you okay?” The man nods groggily and fumbles with his hands under the blanket. It was a little suspicious, but Y/N turned around regardless to grab something out of a cabinet. It was a stupid mistake.

As soon as her back is turned, she hears metal clang against the mattress. When she turns around to face the suspect a hand is clamped around her neck, pushing her up against the wall.

Her airflow is cut short immediately as she struggles against the man. Trying to pry the fingers from her throat she attempts to gasp for breath. Time seems to slow down as dots begin to show in her eyes.

It isn’t until Dick passes the room with another officer that the struggle between the nurse and suspect is noticed. Dick heard his struggling fiancé along with the grunts of the suspect and immediately entered the room.

With wide eyes that were quickly becoming fuzzy, Y/N watched as Dick and another officer pulled off the suspect and handcuffed him quickly. Y/N fell to the floor gasping for air and being relieved when it finally reached her lungs, and her hands made their way to her throat. As more officers and security swarmed into the room, a figure knelt down next to her in an instant and helped her backup and into a nearby chair.

“Hey you okay?” Her fiancé’s voice rang out. Unable to form words she nodded her head and wrapped her arms around Dick breathing heavily into his neck. Swiftly, the man picks you up like a child holding you close. “Why wasn’t anyone in here? Who was supposed to be watching him?”

Nobody answers the question, only looks around shrugging at each other. Dick scoffs before taking you out into the hallway, asking one of your coworkers to get you some water.

“This night is gonna be longer than usual, isn't it.” You groan leaning your head on his shoulder.

“Yeah, someone’s gonna need to question you and get your statement.” Dick says with a sigh.

“Awesome.” You state sarcastically.

After being questioned by multiple officers, including the security at the hospital, and your boss. You’re finally released to go home.

“Go home Y/N,” Andrea your boss tells you. “We have someone coming in to take over the rest of your shift.” “No, no, I’m fine.” You say feeling guilty that someone is going to need to take over the last couple hours of your shift along with their own.

“You almost passed out.” She tells you and slowly, you nod. “Okay.” You say softly as she nods before turning to Dick. “Take care of our girl. She’s pretty special.”

“Yeah I know.” Dick says with a small smile before standing up, reaching out a hand to you. “Let’s get home.”

Prompt: “You are a teenager with the ability to measure how ‘dangerous’ people are on a scale from 1 to 10 just by looking at them. A normal child would be a 1, while a trained man with an assault rifle might be a 7. Today, you notice the unassuming new kid measures a 10.”

A normal day in Gotham academy consisted of seeing the same old people in the same old classes. Those people typically had a ‘danger level’,as you liked to call the brightly colored  aura’s you saw around everyone, of 2-4 occasionally there was a 5.

Today was not a normal day. For one you had a new kid in all of your classes. He was tall, handsome, and had a white streak in the middle of his hair. The thing that stuck out the most? The deep red aura that screamed the stranger had a danger level of 10. The only being’s with a danger level of 10 (that you had seen) were some of Gotham’s most notorious villians- the Joker, Scarecrow, Killer Croc.

Of course, you had the lucky honor of sitting next to the new kid in English, and History. It could be slightly worse, you could sit next to him in chemistry where a dangerous chemical reaction could happen at any point.

“Hey, I’m Jason.” New kid now known as Jason said sitting down at the small group of desks formed into a table. You had to stop yourself from going rigid.

“Y/N” You said with an unsteady voice.

“I noticed you’re in all of my classes.” He said with a small smile. “If it’s not too much to ask, would you mind helping me get a little caught up? Starting late puts you a little behind.”

You didn’t know what to say, but you didn’t want to piss the guy off so you simply said “Uh, sure?”

“Thank you so much.” He said with a wink. You froze and luckily class started before he had the chance to notice.

That night, you were walking home from your job at the museum. It was really more of an internship to get you ready for the big world once you got a degree in art once you graduated from college. First you had to finish tackling high school, but it’s never to early to start planning ahead.

While Gotham was dangerous at night, there were some nights that it was quite peaceful. Tonight was not one of those nights. You were grabbed from behind, a gloved hand placed over your mouth as you were dragged back into the direction of the museum.

“You’re going to let us in little thing.” the maniacal voice said from behind you. “There’s a particular painting I’d like on the wall of my fun house.” Your body went cold, the Joker was the one holding you. Gotham’s most notorious villain- there really was no hope for you. His aura screamed a deep red and it reminded you of all the blood he had spilled throughout his years of terrorizing Gotham and you couldn’t help but think about how your blood would be next. Suddenly a masked figure emerged from the shadows. The same deep red aura surrounded the Red Hood.

“What a shame, I was hoping the bat would show up,” The Joker sighed pushing you away from him as he charged at the masked vigilante with a knife. “But I guess you’ll have to do.”

“Don’t worry, I brought friends.” The Red Hood taunted and you watched as he threw the Joker to Nightwing, who head butted him before Batman showed up and took the crazed man down.

You watched the whole thing go down, and your mind screamed at you to run for your damn life, but something made you stay. Maybe it was the sense of familiarity in the aura of the vigilantes.

“Miss? Are you okay?” the Red hood asked approaching you as he took of his helmet revealing another mask underneath.

“Jason?” You asked reaching out and touching your classmates shoulder.

“How’d you know it was me? Was it the streak? Dammit, I knew I should’ve dyed it but-” Jason rambled on and on.

“Your aura.” You muttered.

“What?”

“Your aura.” You said pointing to it as if he could see it even though you knew he couldn’t. “You’re very dangerous, the top of my scale so your aura is deep red, not many people have an aura this red.”

“So you recognized me by my aura? Neat.” He said with a questioning tone.

“I think you two should talk about this.” Nightwing said approaching you. “See you later Jason.”

“I guess we should.” The boy in front of you agreed. “Ever been to that diner off of the avenue?” ---

So there you sat on the same side of a booth with the vigilante who would become your best friend and eventual boyfriend sharing a plate of fries and sipping on a milkshake. He explained how he was resurrected from the dead (which is where his white streak came from) and how he was a former robin turned anti-hero and you explained how you lived with seeing people’s auras and could tell how dangerous they were based off of that. With an arm now around you and your head on his shoulder Jason spoke up.

“If I asked if this was a date, would you say yes?” Squeezing his hand you laughed.

“After tonight, I’d say that it is.” You said and he left out a breath of relief.

Friday night lights at gotham academy were a big deal now. After the school had gone undefeated and were now 8-0 (a big change from your previous years attending the school where to put it simple- you guys sucked). You sat with Dick’s younger brothers in the student section, Jason sitting on the Senior Wall where you guessed it, only seniors could sit and you Tim and Damian sat behind him. Of course Dami was still in middle school but the 8th grader got along with his brothers and you more than kids his own age. His sisters tended to stay at home, both of them not really liking the crowd, Steph came to the first, homecoming, and last game, Cass would rather stay at home.

The atmosphere had a lot of tension and excitement, there was a certain pressure on the team as they didn’t want to let the fans down and they were game of the week. Dressed in Dick’s practice jersey, a yellow bandana and yellow face-paint (with Dick’s number of course) you cheered as your boyfriend scored the first touchdown of the game.

The band began to play the fight song, (Y/F/N) and you singing along horribly but with so much enthusiasm to fuel the rest of the crowd. All three of his brother’s cheered loudly and you jumped up and down.

“Dick Grayson with the touchdown!” The announcer said in that voice, you know the one.

“That’s my boy!” You screamed and Damian rolled his eyes while you laughed at him.

“You make me want to puke y/n,” He said.

“One day you’ll understand Dami.” you said ruffling the boys hair before handing him some dollar bills. “Go get me some peanut m&m’s, get yourself something too, I know you didn’t eat and we aren’t going to get shake’s until after the game.”

With a huff, the young boy went on his way to concessions.

“Get me some airheads!” Jason called after the boy not looking away from the game.

“Fine Todd.”

The game was tied with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Dick had the ball and was running for a touchdown until he was tackled by the other team. Except this time he didn’t get up.

“What the fuck.” You said grabbing Jason’s arm after about 20 seconds of him still on the floor. “Why hasn’t he gotten up?”

“Shit.” You heard Jason say before hopping off the senior wall with you, Tim and Damian trailing behind him to the other side of the field watching Katy walk onto the field. The coach saw all of you walking towards Dick and ushered you and Jason out onto the field while telling Tim and Damian to stay put.

Scared of the outcome, you hesitantly dropped to your knees by Dick. Everything was quiet, the players knelt, and the stands had sat down being the quietest you’d ever heard.

“Dick? What’s wrong” the Trainer Katy asked him.

“My leg, it’s tight” He groaned and you grabbed his hand giving him a squeeze of reassurance.

“This could be a minor thing or something big and costly, right now all that’s certain is that he isn’t playing the rest of the game.” Katy said and you looked at your boyfriend whose eyes were screwed shut in pain. “We need to get him to the locker room.”

You nodded and helped get Dick up enough so that Jason could carry most of his weight on his shoulder while you got Dick’s other side. The crowd began to clap out of respect and somehow you managed to get Dick into the locker room and lay him down on a nurses bed. Jason left to call Bruce and watch over the brothers while you stayed with Dick.

“You look good tonight babe.” He muttered and you rolled your eyes.

“How can you say that at a time like this?” You asked with a chuckle brushing sweaty hair off of his forehead.

“Let’s just say focusing on you helps me focus on the fact that I’m not out there.”

“You can take a break every once in a while baby, you’re not indestructible, your body wears down.” You tell him reassurance in your voice.

“Yeah but my team needs m-” He began to say but the walls shook as the crowd began to cheer and the announcer announced another touchdown for your team and the band began to play once more.

“There’s thirty seconds left, I’m sure they can suffice without you for that long dear” You said as Katy told the two of you that she needed him to take off all of his padding.

“I’ll let you help, I’m sure that would be a lot more comfortable for all of us.” She said with a chuckle before leaving the room once more.

Quickly you helped him strip of his padding that left him in spandex and shirtless. Katy came back in and after a couple minutes of examining it was determined that Dick pulled his hamstring.

“I’m sorry Dick, but this is going to put you out of games for possibly the rest of the season.” She said solemnly.

“Damn it.” He said dropping his head back onto the bed. You grabbed his hand as his family burst into the area his adoptive father Bruce and his wife Selina turning to Katy who only shook her head.

“The best we can do right now is ice it, wrap it, and get you on crutches and rest it continuously. Although, I’d look into heading to the hospital” She told everyone before wrapping his injured leg and handing him a pair of crutches.  “You’re teams waiting out here.”

Handing him a shirt, Dick put it on before working his way to the door with his crutches. His team was crowding around him in an instant.

“I’m sorry guys.” He muttered looking down at his feet. “I’m out.”

“Don’t be sorry Dick.” Wally West spoke up. “You’ve got us this far in the season, we’ll finish it for you.”

“Yeah dude, we couldn’t have done it without your motivation.” #4 said whose name you weren’t sure of. “Just get better soon, you’re going to have so many colleges wanting you. Get ready for track.”

With many ‘get better’ and ‘thank you’s’ to Dick the family left and it was just the two of you as Bruce went to get the car and Jason took the brother’s home.

“Thank you for being here Y/N.” He said sadly. “Probably not how you wanted to spend your friday night.”

“Richard Grayson I know you did not just say that” You spoke wrapping your arms around his neck. “I’ll always be here, any time with you before is a blessing, no matter how it’s spent.”

“I love you.” He whispered pressing his lips to yours.

“And I love you more #15.” You smiled against his lips as Bruce pulled up.

“Come on lovebirds.” He shouted and you helped Dick to the car. “Y/N I called your parent’s they said you can spend the night tonight. The door remains cracked though.”

You and Jason had a life. You’d had one for a while now, you got pregnant at 16 with your son Jaxon and 8 years later, your daughter Harper (named after his best friend) came into the world with a cry that suggested she owned the place. It hadn’t been easy, being teen parents but you were happy and somehow the two of you managed to raise your children to be 16 and 8 without too much trouble. Thanks to his side of the family that made sure you guys never went hungry much to your dismay, you wanted to work for the things you had but Alfred would somehow always to stock the fridge while you were away.

He was two years older, and when you became pregnant with Jaxon he had been the red hood for three years. While he didn’t go out as much as he used to (he was tired of watching his children grow up from afar) there were certain occasions that meant that he had to when Bruce really needed him. This was one of those times.

-okok, so you two roast the fuck out of each other when you’re first introduced…. and the following months after.

-you’re forced to work with each other? constant insults “I can’t work with someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing.”

 “funny since you can’t see out of your helmet.” 

-constant fighting, screaming matches etc.

-despite this you care for each other

-a year goes by before you two finally show something other than distaste for each other 

-you get hurt on a mission. really bad.

-suddenly this boy is a wreck. all he really cares about is you and if you die who’s gonna work with him the way you do.

-late night snacks, movies, motorcycle rides, you name it the two of you hardly sleep anyways.

-always making smart ass comments towards the bad guys.

-you help each other out in times of need, like nightmares about his death, or you just needing someone to hold you close.

Warnings: its kinda fluff. It’s not angst for once A/N: I found this prompt off of google. I guess I’m going back to the roots of writing whatever seems interesting to me in that moment.

Dick Grayson was many things. He was smart, attractive, cocky, flexible, amazing at gymnastics, and one of Gotham’s finest vigilanties. But most importantly, Dick Grayson is an idiot. That was apparent as the two of you were chained together upside down by some low life criminal trying to play with the big boy toys.

“I can’t believe you didn’t check the area Nightding!” You complained as the two of you spun aimlessly.

“Ouch harsh, Y/S/N,” He said charmingly. You could just hear the grin on his face and you rolled your eyes. “and for your information princess; it’s Nightwing.” “I’m aware.” You snapped as you felt around trying to fumble your way into one of you guys utility belts.

“You know, if you wanted to touch my ass, all you had to do was ask.” Dick Grayson was getting on your last nerves, that much was clear.

“Cram it Dick.”

“Easy on the name calling dear.” He was having too much fun with your frustration. Leaning your head forward, and leaning it back harder; you headbutted him. Sure it didn’t feel too good but it was worth it.

The low life came out of whatever secret room he was in and was now holding a red button. When he pressed it the floor opened up and you were now stuck over the most cliché trap with one of Gotham’s finest idiots. As the chain was lowering closer to the tank full of piranhas you groaned and Dick just had to make it worse.

A/N: it’s a Drabble. I had this idea and since I’m getting over a breakup- I’m fueled with some sad angst.

The storm rages on around them, but y/n can barely hear it. They stand like a statue, unmoving and cold. It’s fitting for a day like this, it’s only right that the day they watch their best friend be lowered into the ground is the day they can’t control their powers. Gotham’s always been dreary and full of gloom when it comes to the weather, but today the weather is no longer in their control.

Everyone’s left by now. Bruce stopped trying to get them to come inside. He knows it’s no use. The casket isn’t small, but it’s not huge either. It’s made for a teen. A teen who should still be here by their side. Instead, Jason Todd is dead. He’s buried in a casket. He’ll never grow old with a spouse. He’ll never have children. He’ll never be by Y/n’s side again.

Instead, he’ll rest in a casket. His body will forever be littered with scars and burns. A menacing ‘j’ forever there on his previously flawless cheek. A bullet wound rests in his forehead and that image is forever scarred into Y/N’s mind. Instead of growing old, Jason Todd will be a memory implanted in their mind forever.
