#bastard!reader

y/n is a new maid at dragonstone and has been getting hazed badly from other maids for being an obvious bastard (purple eyes and white streaks at the very least) and forced to go into the old dragon caves/dens or somewhere on the island where the cannibal was believed to have nested.

mmmm if she goes down into where the "tamed" dragons had rested i wanna say she brings flowers bc she felt bad that they were forced to fight each other all bc someone felt a cock was more entitled to the throne then to the person who was originally heir (i have not read the books so i have no clue what the people's opinions on rhaenyra were if they were stated in that time frame but im team rhaenyra if that wasn't obvious) but anyways y/n bringing some wildflowers to leave at the entrance of whatever den she stumbles upon as a way to respect the dragons that died and stumbles across a dragon

if she were dared to go check out cannibals rumored cave i think she would be a lot more alert bc she doesn't know what to expect to see. she gets far enough in and see that there is a drop but her legs give out and finds herself temporarily trapped bc when she gets enough strength she goes fitter into the cave and that's how she meets the dragon

i'm thinking a dragon between the sizes of areas and moondancer if not the size of syrax (not ready for syrax to die yet in that trashy show if they do rare book accurate choice)

anyways i'm thinking y/n pulls a nettles and slowly wins over the dragon by bringing it food or w the other direction they forced proximity causes them to bond and she's able to get out w the help of the dragon in the middle of the night.

mmmmmmm i plan on having it set before ashford so the targaryens are on a rare vacation in dragonstone for some westerosi winter holiday and then set to go to kings landing to celebrate the new year w the rest of the court.

i also plan on it being an aerion x reader thing if i follow through with it im hoping it won’t be many chapters bc i have a commitment issue😭 it may also be a while before anything official of it comes out but hopefully not too long of a wait of the universe smiles upon me and gives me enough motivation. thoughts? questions? concerns?

Ok so, this is with the real brothers bit this is how basterd reader got them with her to the Castle.

So after myserlla finds basterd reader hometown. She immediately head there. Reader rides cannibal to a small town near the sea. She lands hi. On the hills that sit over her town and after calming the cannibal down and telling him she would be back she slowly descents down to her village.

Everything she looks at brings memory's. Tree that she used to climb small grass areas where she remembers her mother having picnic with her brother. Tears would probably start falling from her eyes. She moves towards the village and starts to look around. Things have stayed the same even after all these years.

Basterd reader would eventually see the local blacksmith door open and see her oldest brother come out. She shouts his name and as soon as her eldest brother sees her, he starts crying and runs towards her. They have this very emotional reunion, until her brother so starts dragging her to the local bakery and once instead her next brother runs towards her, they have a tearful reunion.

Now the two brothers catch bastard reader up on what has been happening. Since she was kindapped by the her 'father', their mother was completely destroyed and couldn't get out of bed for days. However she had to force herself up as she needed to feed her other children. She worked her self to the bone and now she was very sick. The local docter says it would be anyday now that she would pass.

The boys tool reader to their home. The small beach house were it only contained one room.

But it has everything they needed.

When the reader was lead in she saw her mother laying in the small bed that they all shared.

A small toddler layed next to their mother. Reader mother had just given birth to another boy before she was kidnapped.

When her mother say her again, she cried, ' my beautiful angle' just by saying that reader begin crying all over again, as she say that her mother was dying. Mama was skinny, pale and her hair had started to thin out. Mama was still beautiful.

All the children gathered around her, ' mama, I promise I won't leave you' the reader said. Mama smiled before saying `i am so glad that I waited, I wanted all my children to be her before I go' the eldest children began to cry while the young toddler was still sleeping.

' I will take care of them mama, no matter what. I promise' reader said through tears.

'i know you will, I know' mama smiled. the children all cuddled up to her.

' i love you my children' was the very last words their mama spook.

Basterd reader sold her jewelery so that their mama would have the best funeral possible, however as they begin to say their last goodbyes. The reader heard dragons, lots of them.

'Quickly!' the reader screamed. The children began to run. They ran past their house, through the village and up the hills before her sibling say a huge dragon.

' cannibal!' the dragon immediately looked over. ' these are my real siblings, I must protect them, do not harm them!' she yelled in old valerian.

She quickly looked behind her and say daemon with caraxs with rhaneara and caraxs, she wasn't she if their children was near but before she could find out she kept her sibling behind her, while holding her youngest brother

'so this is where you ran off to' daemon said.

' will go back to your castle ' the reader immediately said catching the two Targaryens off guard.

'i will be obedient and be your daughter, under the condition that my brother come with me, and are given good jobs in the castle.' the reader says showing that she would fight with her dragon if they refused.

' that is all.' daemon asked

' that is all...

Father'

An agreement was made on that day. Bastard daughter was to never escape, and her brothers were to work and be feed at the castle under her guardianship.

This is such a good ask, I’m sorry for letting it sit and gather dust in my inbox for so long!

I really like this premise, especially with how the target come find the runaway princess and strike a deal.

At least they can see their mother one last time 😔

Like their at a hunting party, and Reader is just in her open tent and with her brothers laughing and smiling for the first time since shes been kidnaped.

reader eats and plays with her brothers for the majority of the hunting party and she had their tents nearby.

Also, reader's youngest brother is just glued to her side and she just holds his hand everywhere they go.

Just the family's reaction to the reader eating a good amount of food with her brothers would be happy but luke and jace are jealous they could never make her laugh like that.

Luke and Jace would be hit the hardest I think with this. Daemon is content that they are no longer constantly weeping and scowling at him, Rhaenyra is happy that you're finally eating and smiling, and although the action of having not only a bastard in court- but her own peasant half-brothers brought in as well to work in the castle would definitely be some juicy gossip for the nobles to enjoy bickering and snorting at, the targs do not particularly care.

In this scenario, Bastard! princess has it pretty well for herself. Although there is a class division between her and her brother's, their ranks are unequal- but at least they'll be together. They'd soak up most of her attention, especially away from the two princes.

Rhaenyra would often have to soothe the jealous remarks and tears from her little sons, and encourage them to get along the best they can :/ because look, she is happy. They are making her smile, isn't that better than her tears? However, she could cry herself a little at Luke's little soft remark of 'i want to make her smile too'.

Bastard!reader tumbling around in the grass with her brother's, her pretty dressed getting soiled with grass and mud, whilst the princes look on with jealously.

Poor Cregan Stark cannot possibly understand the mere danger he's put himself in for even breathing the work marriage in regards to their princess. Naturally he's smitten by her- glowing in pretty fabrics and gems, lovely and endearingly rebellious. He may not be the only admirer, but he's certainly a rather untouchable admirer

(meaning Daemon cannot lop his head off, he's too valuable 😌 cue Daemon glaring at the northman with a contemplating look, his palm cradeling the handle of his sword). He's not going to be happy with it, Rhaenyra is really going to need to work wonders to keep him from starting a fight. The moment the little joke left the northmans tongue, Daemon merely stares in silence. His glare burning the dark haired man. (Although truthfully, there is a part of him a little impressed by how ballsy that was to say in front of him).

Rhaenyra isn't too keen on you marrying, but seeing a smitten, well mannered lord fawn over you- it may tweak her opinion on the concept of you marrying. (She just wants you to be happy and home, but most of all, safe). If Rhaenyra were to hear the words from the Lord herself, a wry smile would befall her expression, but it would be vaguely stern. She'd eye the boy carefully, her grip upon you is tenfold protective now since little Luke is gone now.

Jace is 100% going to be protective. He side-eyes Cregan hard, because did this man just hit on his sister, right in front of him like that? Please, do excuse him whilst he searches for a nice bush to wretch into. He may be on pleasant terms with The Lord stark, but he's not eager to hand his sister away like that. The word of marriage has never occurred to him, and the thought of you getting packed up and moved away to such a cold place? It doesn't sit well with him. His mother is going to have to hold his hand and reassure him that even if you were to fall smitten with the Stark lord, there's no way it'll be ideal unless you stay home.

Cregan definitely says it with that signature stern expression of his, a genuine small smile on his face as his eyes befall upon the princess- and Jace cannot help but roll his eyes a little, but then side-eye bastard!reader hard when she starts to 👀 💕

The twins are all for it however, in a complete stark reaction to the rest of team black. (Ylike what I did there). Baela and rhaena think it's sweet. Risky, with the possessiveness of the targs, but sweet. In their eyes, even if you were to leave home and love in the north- you'll always be there to see upon dragon-back. The reputation of loyalty of northern men too is a bonus in their eyes, they want their sister to settle with the right person who'll treat them right.

Nonetheless I like the idea of Cregan Stark and bastard!reader having some sort of pining situration going on! The targs are careful with their position and their need for reinforcement- so although they may not be keen, they'd endure.

I can imagine Rhaenyra having you sent off with Jace to meet with lord stark, because I think the idea of her sending one of the prettiest targarian princesses to go meet and cement a partnership with the Starks is pretty funny 😭 take a gander at what you'll be defending, Lord stark 👀

I've done mostly team black here, but if anyone wants to hear from team green, I can probably cook one up! Just tell me your thoughts! 😌💕

I can imagine Bastard!reader jumping to the opportunity of potentially finding her family again. It has been a long time since she was taken, in a blur of tears and dragon wings, she can scarcely recall what her home even looked like- or even where it is. She was too young to remember such things like what city she once lived in, all she recalled was that she lived near the coast where Daemon took her across the sea for seemingly hours and hours, (again, an unreliable source of information, considering how time seems to progress for a child).

Just to make it extra sad, her mother is probably not alive anymore. Fallen to illness and exhaustion, leaving bastard!princess's siblings left alive and alone- somehow surviving on with only each others company and support.

I have an idea, other than them being knights in training, is for them to be stable boys or blacksmith apprentices. They had to keep making a living somehow!

If Mysaria were to successfully locate bastard!readers remaining family, that that would be a good way for them to reunite. Perhaps she sneaks out under the guise of a refreshing dragon ride, (whilst just barely shaking off Jace or Aemond, who wanted to accompany her. Totally not to hover or make sure she wouldn't escape) .

With Mysaria's information and guidance, she eventually finds her old hometown. A settlement upon the coast, just like she remembers from old foggy memories. She finds her brother's, and it's a tearful reunion.

The only problem would be what her next move would be. Daemon is clever at the worst of times, and will catch on that she's somewhere she shouldn't be. (Father's instincts and all that).

He'd definitely attempt to collect her back, but maybe she makes a deal and takes her brother's with her- all for her compliance.

As I mentioned before in another post, bastard!readers personal protector would accompany her whenever she wishes to explore the beach. I'm just imagining little bastard!princess beachcombing, getting the hem of her dress wet with seafoam from the tide as she picks pretty shells from the sand, toddling back to her knight for him to carry as she goes back and fourth. He bends his knee and holds out his cupped hands, the little seashells and sand dollars cradled in gauntlet clad hands.

Or whenever she wants to avoid her father, she hides in his cape like a baby bat. Huddling into his side in a grumpy or mischievous mood. Her knight can't help but smile in amusement.

Older bastard!princess embroidering little things on the hem/inside of his cloak. Her knight loves them, wearing his personalised cape with pride.

He's a very devoted guard- hence why he was assigned the role of protecting Daemons daughter. I'm imagining Daemon would have had to assign the guard of his own choosing- he'd be very selective and picky about who was to guard his daughter. (Someone swift, he knows how slippery his child is when it comes to the act of disappearing). He'd often have her guard chosen to attend tournaments to upkeep his skill and prove his worthiness. Princess!reader hates it, she gets so worried for her friend knight :( she can barely watch the tournaments proceed, oftentimes hiding her face into Rhaenyra's lap at the sound of clashing swords. She grows so worried and sensitive, as her 'mother' comforts her.

After the tournament is won and over with, whilst people make merry and become drunk with wine and excitement- little bastard!princess hurries to her injured but victorious knight, and stresses for a hug because she was so worried. He finds it endearing and sweet, hoisting the little princess up in his arms to hush her tears away. Meanwhile Daemon is watching in jealousy why doesn't his little girl search out for him like that during his tournaments?

(you know very well Daemon lol)

I mentioned horse-riding as one of her hobbies, and her knight would definitely help her out. He'd accompany her lessons and rides.

I can imagine Criston Cole is feverishly envious of this knight. He himself is a bit of a platonic yandere, and secretly holds this fantasy of bastard! princess being his daughter. There's definitely some tension.

Her knight wearing little woven daisy chains on his gauntlet wrists and sword sheath after coming back from a walk in the gardens.

Him taking her to the stables to see the horses. He lets her braid his personal steeds mane and tail, so they always look and feel bonita ✨
