 Aspects are precise distances between a horoscope. These are usually between planets, but aspects between the IC, MC, descendant and ascendant are also carefully considered.

Aspects are usually divided into two groups, major and minor & harmonious and tense. Harmonious aspects result in easy relationships between the planets involved, while tense aspects result in a hard time that can bring greatness.

Now to the actual aspects.

Conjunct: 0 degrees apart, major, and neutral. Semi-Sextile: 30 degrees apart, minor, and harmonious. Sextile: 60 degrees apart, major, and harmonious. Semi-Square: 45 degrees apart, minor, and tense. Square: 90 degrees apart, major, and tense Trine: 120 degrees apart, major, and harmonious. Sesquiquadrate: 135 degrees apart, minor, and tense. Quincunx: 150 degrees apart, minor, and tense Opposition: 180 degrees apart, major, and tense.

Conjunct (most powerful), opposition, trine, square and sextile are the most powerful aspects, while sequestrate, quincunx, and semi-square/sextile, are the weaker ones.
