With basic income, people can chose the kind of relationships they want and the kind of works they want.
You can rely on your partner, your family, your friends or your boss because they are trustworthy not because you have to.
With basic income, people depend on society as a whole and not on individuals. Each one contributes according to their means through taxation.
It is an illusion to think one can be independent. Freedom means you chose who you are dependent on.
