okay so. the technicality of Taylor having lied/told the truth is irrelevant here. She never got a call to hear the song before it was released. Kanye West is an asshole who has made Taylor an target of his unwanted attention no matter how many times she has tried to remove herself from his web. There are very few times where Taylor's songs actually name-drop the guys they're about, even if it is obvious.
i agree that kanye west is an asshole but i don’t think this is a matter of taking sides. you can believe that both of them are in the wrong, and i do. just off the top of my head i can think of many people taylor name dropped: drew, cory, sam(in the secret message), john, stephen, taylor L(also in the secret message). and then there’s people like joe or camilla where she talked about it in interviews or heavily implied it was about them.
it just seems as though she’s stepping on whoever she can to maintain the image she wants.Â
