Cylon Basestar, "Saga of a Star World"
Battlestar Galactica S1E01 - "33". Opening battle (with a bit of reused footage from the miniseries, looks like)
Change Part One
Back in 2011 I used to be an avid Battlestar Galactica fanfic writer. I was part of a larger group and we started making our own lore. I did some things to keep my characters from being killed while I was busy in school. Here’s part one of an old story I found. Let me know if you’re interested in reading the rest.
Here’s some starting information. Within the Cylons, a race of robots that are at war with humans, are a branch off of humanoid models. Our story follows a specific unit of humanoid Cylons called F-BOMBs (not my best name). At the moment there is a total of seven BOMBs. Each of the BOMBs go by the number that they were created in. The fifth BOMB calls himself Five, the third calls himself Three, ect. Humanoid cylons have the ability to project different surroundings into their minds for pleasure (instead of looking at the inside of the spaceship they see a beautiful forest). This ability to project mutated in the BOMBs and has become an ever growing, unstoppable psychic powers. With that summary, here’s the first part of the story. The Escape of the Uriel
The Basestar Uriel was in terrible shape, having just jumped away from a battle it was ready to fall apart. Seven mentioned that they needed to leave the area, and it was as if the hybrid agreed with him. Centurion commanders did not hold any authority over a basestar. Seven blew it off as something that was installed by the Bombs. Why else would the hybrid jump as Seven finished his statement. Seven left with Farah, doing so left Five, a human and Skul’s child in the Uriel by themselves. Leaving Five with a human and the child might have been something to worry about, but Seven knew that he had orders from Three not to harm anyone.
Five looked at the human and the child. The child was in some kind of protective shell, the humans might have been studying this boy. He looked at the other human and used projection to learn his name. “Charles?”
The human seemed to be in a state of thought and was brought out of it by his name. He turned to the cylon in armor and seemed a little puzzled. “Yes?”
“Why did you help Seven? Your people will cast you out, and you had no real guarantee that we’d treat you any better. So why did you help him?”
The human’s face was hit with Five’s red eye every two seconds. The man winced from how bright it was, but still looked directly into it. As if it was rude not to look at someone’s eye while talking to them. “I knew that they’d rip that kid apart, trying to see how a human-cylon hybrid child’s physiology would be. I didn’t feel right with that.”
Emotions...something Five had seen as a way to disrupt the order of a society. Most of the Bombs felt this way, and they saw how the humans made bad decisions due to their emotions. He walked to the child and looked at it, small and young. He was sure that Three would take the child and study it in his own ways. He had some planning in this mission, but One still controlled everything that occurred.
There was one Centurion that stood next to the group, it was holding onto Seven’s sword. Five scanned the sword and learned that it was made out of basestar hull. Plans for a new armor started to form in Five’s mind, an armor that could withstand most ammunition and regenerate. The basestar shook from a hit, Five sensed the battlestar when it jumped right next to the Uriel before the hit. All the human thoughts in the other ship sounded like a storm of noise. The group went to the command center and found Seven and Farah already there. They seemed busy trying to save the basestar and fight the humans at the same time. Five stuck his hands into the data stream of the basestar, and spoke. His voice was heard throughout the entire star.“Abandon the Uriel.”
Farah and Seven looked at Five with a look of anger, Seven spoke up first. “We can’t just leave the-”
“The Uriel is as good as dead, we need to leave now in order to save this child.”
As the group started to walk out Farah had one more thing on her mind. “What about the Commander?”
Five projected into the Commander’s room and saw Bobbyscars at his desk. A malfunction of some kind had left him in a coma like state. “If he was commanding the Uriel then we would stop for him, but as of right now the Sub-Commander and the Centurion Commander have taken command.” Five hurried the human, child, Farah, Seven and the Centurion to the heavy raider he brought Seven in. The raider flew out of the hanger and prepared to jump within the second. Five held his temple and sent a code with projection to the hybrid of the basestar. The raider jumped and the basestar stopped firing. The Uriel turned and rammed into the battlestar causing the two ships to explode in a blue and yellow flash.
