I have no idea why Soulmates AU's have been popping up everywhere but I don't care because I love them. My favorite kinds are the ones with the names tattooed or a soulmark and when one person doesn't know they're hanging out with their soulmate the entire time. I like pining, okay? When I came across this fic it was on the second chapter, I believe, and I followed it. Every morning there was a new chapter I would lay there are read it and not get out bed until I was done. I lived for the next installment.
Stiles knows his soulmate is Derek, a famous baseball player who happens to drop by on Little League games in support of the kids. Stiles is curious and basically just wants to know what Derek so he goes to one of the LL baseball games hoping to catch Derek there. See, Stiles doesn't believe in the whole soulmate thing and is firm believer that you can find love outside of the whole cultural ideal. When he meets Derek though, Stiles' beliefs are challenged. He's completely charmed by Derek despite Lydia's terrifying attempts to keep them apart in order to keep Derek safe. I feel like I'm not doing the story justice by summarizing the first chapter ish but it's really good and you should totally read it.
