La diffusion d’une vidéo sur les réseaux sociaux montrant des individus effectuant un saut en base jump depuis le pont Humber a conduit à l’ouverture d’une enquête par les autorités. Cet incident, survenu dans la nuit du 20 mars vers 05h00 GMT, implique l’escalade de la tour de Hessle, haute de plus de 150 mètres, suivie d’un saut en parachute sur la rive. L’enquête en cours et les réactions…

I was bemoaning to myself my lack of writing, and I asked Google to recommend an online outlet. Google reminded me that I had an unused Tumblr account. Tumblr would allow me to post my thoughts and my photos. So here I am, back to where I haven't been.

Not to resume, but I missed writing for print and broadcast, something I studied in college and practiced as a civilian and military member. I keep in practice by Reddit and Imgur comments and photos, but I have a hankering for a longer form to my thoughts.

The plan is to talk about things I have some expertise in. I've been riding motorcycles fairly continuously for more than half a century, and I've been jumping out of or off of things high in the air for nearly as long. I earned a living teaching people how to do those same things for a significant part of that time, hopefully disproving the old saw of "those who can't do, teach."
