the character i least understand

mmmmm… probably bojyo? simply because, we really dont know hardly anything about his past beyond the fact that he was the one who taught leaks magic and such… but besides that… (his character is rather enigmatic by nature anyways, so its nice to try and form headcanons about him but, yeah LOL), also do the meigi count, because christ. 

interactions i enjoyed the most

THE DEVILS TBH…. i always find their interactions incredibly entertaining, especially with how different they all are (the drama cds are always so fucking good about this, the conbini was a BLESSING), not to mention how the devils play into the whole “acting like cats” at bardo’s inn, it was the last thing i ever expected when i played lamento and it was too good… also admittedly, any interaction with shui and konoe is always so heart warming to me, if not bittersweet (theres so many interactions i love, it’d be too many to list here….)

the character who scares me the most

mmmm, no one really.. scared me per se, but- kil and ul definitely gave eerie vibes, the way they speak, and the fact kil and ul practically became “one” was vastly disturbing, so probably those two? OH and i guess froud too– froud is terrifying once you get past the frivolous air about him. manipulative and so contradictive by nature… (but this is why i love him, so whatever)

the character who is mostly like me

probably konoe simply because we’re both easy to rile up, easily conscientous of certain body flaws, incredibly awkward and easy to convince to do favors for you, also no sense of direction at all fdhjkfdjdf (tho im not nearly as brave as he is LOL, i cant endure so much like he did) 

hottest looks character

the most attractive character to me would probably be kaltz _(:’3_)TL i absolutely love his design, he just has such finer features…. though i definitely love razel as well, his design is absolutely gorgeous and intimidating (razelxdevil!konoe is my guilty pleasure for this reason thats for sure)

one thing i dislike about my fave character

froud’s fucKING COLORS BURN MY EYES, ITS LIKE ACID

one thing i like about my hated character

i dont hate anyone (AGAIN…), but…. uh, moustache cat from the brothel, your mustache may be as fake as ur personality, but you offered some good services, so you’re good in my books.

a quote or scene that haunts me

the entire scene with froud’s bad ending definitely left an impression on me, in the sense that realizing that froud was doing this simply to bring out rai’s madness….. i have a lot of thoughts on it but, that one for sure. there were incredibly profound moments but none really haunt me though, if anything, the scenes where konoe sees the memories of certain objects definitely… were rather interesting to me. 

a death that left me indifferent

besides the many cats that died throughout the game? well, the other main characters than ended up dying definitely made me feel something so, nah… only background characters dying left me indifferent

a character i wish died but didn’t

Tokino is secretly even more powerful than Leaks. Even after getting the added devil powers he’d still be no match. That’s the only explanation. (And that’s also the main reason Tokino can’t have a route. Everything would be solved too quickly. 

oHNO because I actually have to sit down and think about this really hard. This game is so beautifully put together and I don’t think I’d have it any other way tbh??? 

1 - I can’t even say that Shui and Leaks and everyone else deserved better (spoiler: they did) because everything that happens shapes Lamento into the narrative that it is…Still, somewhere out there exists a parallel universe in which everyone is alive and happy and whole…

2 - I’d have loved to see a more prominent mention of Mama Konoe. Not even anything big, just. A brief flashback in the game, a single CG, a name…Even if she wasn’t crucial to the actual plot, she was important both to Konoe and in how everything started, so yeah, that’d be nice… (Also whenever I write something and have to use ‘your wife’ as means of addressing her I’m a bit ://////////  at that)3 - Missed opportunity to give Konoe a qt monster bf in Asato’s GE!!!4 - The fact that Tokino is able to effortlessly travel from Ransen to Karou and back again at the start of the game while Konoe’s fellow villagers don’t attempt to flee even threatened by death or starvation might be the closest to a plothole we ever get???
