They’ve been playing for an hour or two now, Jaime’s not really sure exactly how long, he lost track of time at some point. Half the pizza’s gone, mostly forgotten when they really got into the game. More specifically, when Bart got so fixated on winning, and Jaime just couldn’t let that go, he had to win. Just because Bart’s faster than everyone in real life, doesn’t mean he’s faster in Mario Kart too, and Jaime’s gonna prove it.
“Aha, gotcha -” Jaime grins as he takes the lead, leaning in to bump his shoulder against Bart’s as he leans over - why he leans the way he steers is beyond him, it doesn’t make any sense and it definitely doesn’t make it any easier to steer in the game, but he does it anyway, laughing as he crosses the finish line just ahead of Bart. “Take that speedster!” Jaime smirks at Bart as he sets the controller down, reaching for another slice of pizza. “Told you I’d win, didn’t I?”
