4. Did you discover any new authors that you love this year?

BOY, DID I. I read my first Raymond Chandler novel in august (lady in the lake) and had finished all the Phillip Marlowe novels by November LMAO. They hit so many combos for me...setting, prose, Marlowe himself. I’m still obsessed with it tbh (and just bought another book of his short stories hehe) also shoutout to Jeanette winterson, whom I discovered this year! You’ve all probably seen snippets of her books floating around #onhere

12. Any books that disappointed you?

oooh, this one is hard. I was just looking through my list like “damn banger after banger” maybe what I’ll say then is I think Farewell, My Lovely was probably my least favorite of the Marlowe novels (so still very good) and I don’t agree at all with critics who rank it his best (like....above the long goodbye? hello??)

Vampire: Someone offers you a chance at immortality. Do you take it, and why or why not?

YEP. Well, depends on what I have to do to aquire said immortality. But if they’re just handing it out, then yeah. As long as there’s a loophole I can exploit if I do ever want to die but like. there’s so many things I wanna do and see and be that idk if one lifespan can cut it.

acacia. i don’t know but it’s the first thing that popped up in my mind.
