(translation in red - note much of what they are saying is slang and there is a shared cultural undercurrent running between these two Latino men of Cuban descent)

Nick Amaro: No, I get that. It's not about friendship. It's about you. You're afraid to go after Munoz because while he stayed in the hood, in el barrio [the neighborhood/ghetto] and played man of the people, you went off to Harvard and pretended you were one of the gringuitos [“little” (diminutive) gringo/white foreigner]. 

ADA Rafael Barba: I know where I come from. 

Nick Amaro: Yeah, so does Munoz and he's playing you, mi socio [my associate/pal], and making you feel like a sellout. Un arrepentido [a repentant man... someone who feels guilty, maybe guilty enough to start defending what he shouldn’t].
