Spider Café (Starker, Mob boss! Tony x Barista! Peter
Iâm totally obsessed with Mob AUâs and Coffee Shop AUâs so I decided to put them both together and behold this fic. I might post it on ao3 but I dunno yet. Please go easy on me, this is my first Starker fanfic that I have had enough courage to post >.< Sorry for any mistakes since I didnât want to edit it just for me to wimp out from posting again. I have more ideas planned out for this so this most likely will not be a one-shot. Enjoy!

Straight from the moment he woke up, Peter knew that today would be an extremely busy day. He had errands to run, a paper left to do for one of his classes, and he was working a double shift at the café today. He hoped to be able to save enough since he wanted to get himself a new sweater. It was getting cold outside, and his thin worn sweaters could only keep him so warm against the chilly New York weather.
Tony felt his trigger finger itch, today just had to be the day where his espresso machine broke, and everyone was already either getting ready for the meeting or with the crew double checking the site for any possibleâŠ.inconveniences, so he couldnât even get someone to get him some coffee! he could feel a nasty headache coming on. Tony wanted to get to the site earlier than Rogers, never knew if- no, when Rogers would backstab him, again. Nursing his headache, checking his phone for updates while keeping an eye outside for anything potentially threatening, he spotted a cafĂ©. Checking his phone, he confirmed he had enough time to get himself some coffee and still be able to make it to the site at a reasonable time.
âHappy, stop here, I need to get me some sustenanceâ Happy stopped the car and made to get out, âJust black coffee or something different for today Boss?â Tony thought about it for a moment, âIâll go in myself, I want to see how many espresso shots theyâre allowed to serveâ âNot that they would deny you either way, wearing thatâ Happy said amusedly pointing to his signet ring. It had the crest of the Stark Familia, all higher ups in the Familia had it but Tony was the only one whose was gold, resembling that he was the Don, all the other had silver.
Peter heard a chime of the door when it opened and looked up to see who it was and to greet the customer. âGood afternoon and welcome to the Spider CafĂ©â The man who had walked in was wearing a three-piece maroon suit and lightly tinted sunglasses, enough that he could see his luscious brown eyes but with a dark tint to it due to the sunglasses.
âThe cafĂ© is named after a bug?â Tony said humorously and was somewhat surprised by the baristaâs answer, âSpiders are arachnids, not bugs sirâ. âMay I take your order sir?â Tony smirked slightly, so it looked like a trick of the light for someone not paying attention closely, âCoffee, black with as many espresso shots as you can putâ. Just to see his reaction, tony pretended to check his watch with his hand in view of the barista, the hand where he wore his signet ring. âNice ring! Looks like an antiqueâ Tony looked at the barista inquisitively, âkidâs got a good eyeâ he thought but what surprised him was that the barista didnât seem to recognize it, especially since he wasnât quacking in his boots or even having a smidge of fear in those big hazel doe eyes of his as he was pouring the coffee into a cup. To confirm his theory, âYeah it is, thanks. Ever seen one before?â âYouâre the first sirâ. Tony just couldnât take his eyes off the boy in an adorable pastel blue sweater which unfortunately looked too thin to brave a New York winter under his apron. âYou okay there sir?â Tony broke out of his trance when he saw the boy was talking to him. âYeah, Iâm fine why?â âYou have just been staring at me and then your coffee. Youâre acting afraid like if you look away, I might put something in your drinkâ the barista said laughing lightlyâ. âWell, you never know when your enemies are gonna attack you when youâre the Don of the biggest and most feared mob in New York Cityâ Tony thought to say. âI get itâŠdonât worryâ the barista said amusedly and for a second Tony thought it was all a set-up and no matter how cute and innocent the boy looked he could be working for any of his enemies. âI watch a lot of spy movies tooâ seeing Tonyâs confused face he went on âyou know, like James Bond filmsâ and Tony let out a sigh of relief âYeah, totally, 007 and allâ. This time checking his watch, he noticed that he would have to leave soon of he wanted to make it to the site in time, talking with the barista had made him forget about it.
He left the cafĂ© with a smile and felt most of his tension with the meeting with Rogers fade away and while finishing up his drink, saw what was written on his cup under the name section which made him laugh, a genuine laugh, something he hadnât done in a while. Written was âFor JB 007 â Peterâ with a smiley face with a tongue sticking out scrawled beside the name.
