Kalluzebtober's leftovers
I still have a few prompts to write for Kalluzebtober but also a lot of wips I started but didn't end up matching any prompts... Decided to start publishing some of them here instead of leaving them to collect dust :)
This one is from Kallus pov on Bahryn moments before the Specters arrive to rescue Zeb. The boys are sharing body heat after Kallus admitted his leg is gone due to frostbite. No Kalluzeb, simply some past Kallus x Jovan :')

Kallus burried his face in the crook between the cold armor and the warm fur of the Lasat. He vaguely felt the pointy ear raise in surprise and he realised he had just humed in relief as the strong musk had filled his nose. He should have been ashamed to allow such deviant behaviour but with how dire the whole situation was, he really couldn't be bothered to hide behind his employer.
"You smell good." He said, not really knowing why except that it was the pure truth.
Of course the Lasat grunted instead of properly responding. Kallus had heard the video surveillance, the degrading comments thrown at the rebel. Even worse, he had seen the change in behaviour, the Lasat himself degrading his own body musk instead of being proud of it.
"I know you get nasty comments." He continued, once again not thinking twice before talking. "But I quite like it." He started to scoff at how stupid his mouth was to speak so freely. He would have normaly never dared to say such things, for multiple reasons, knowing all too well that they could normaly send him to jail for deviance if anyone was to know about his preferences.
As always Garazeb didn't reply and Kallus found he quite prefered it this way. It meant his mouth could keep on talking.
"Smells like locker room." He breathed out after rubbing his face in the comforting warmth, happy to finally pinpoint what the odour was reminding him of.
Kriff, he should have realised before.
For once Zeb snorted and it sounded like a laugh, an awkward one but it was so round and gentle, though a bit self deprecative if Kallus could still read the situation and wasn't just hallucinating from the cold and the hunger.
"What?" He asked just to confirm he had not overstepped.
"You like locker room smell?" Zeb snorted again and Kallus was almost sad to miss the smile that might have blessed that handsome face.
"I do." He didn't even hesitate before responding and taking another deep breath in, allowing his mind to wander to memories of awkward hands on his body, sloppy kisses trying to stay silent in fear. "I have good memories of locker rooms." He smiled despite the coldness of his face.
Jovan had not been the best lover but he had had the advantages of being the first. Stolen carresses in hope no one would find them and punish them.
"My first time actually." He relaxed is body between the warm arms. "T'was the only place we could afford intimacy." He continued, feeling tears wet his face whilst his lips went numb from the cold.
He had been so ashamed back then, so scared of those thoughts that had kept creeping in his mind when his eyes would linger slightly too long on a muscular torso or sweat stains around toned arms. But Jovan had smiled when he had noticed. And that blush had been the most beautiful thing he had ever seen at the time.
They had felt right, hiding their love for a while and wishing that maybe one day they'd be able to grow old together whilst staying single to the face of the Galaxy. Two overgrown flat mates in a peaceful world.
The wind came howling in the small cave Garazeb had found earlier, carrying Kallus when his leg had stopped carrying him. Kallus felt the shudder pierce through his bones and he tried to forget the pain that was ringing in his ears.
Instead he buried his face deeper in the musky smell and allowed his mind to get lost to the last time Kallus had felt happy in his life, the day Jovan had let him kiss him and Kallus had hoped.
He hummed against the wet fur, realising it had been the last time he had dared to hope.
