you just sort of wisp the wax throughout, like you're primping a little. it holds the hair a super long time. try it now. TRY IT. ask for a sample of sumo wax, that this nut job you know told you to try it. they'll give you a generous sample.

why don’t you start with above the shoulders and work from there? i think you’d look great with above shoulder hair if you flip it out in -forgive me- alice cullen style. get sumo wax by bumble & bumble. at sephora. worth the price. trust me.

lol i'm already above my shoulders, and i like it, i do, i'm just so antsy with my hair. it's been like a month with this style and i've already tried to dye it once and am contemplating another dramatic shift. aaauuuuuggghhhh. (i have a lot of hair angst.)

I do this only by facial features and some physicality, as if I were casting people to be alien extras--I started doing it after watching a DS9 episode where three non-Klingon characters went undercover as Klingons and two of them looked so wrong that I thought, "Man, they can probably act the part, but neither of those actors would ever be cast as a Klingon on their own." So it's kind of like an artistic and spatial visualization exercise for me: I have to know how a person's physical features and how they lay in real space reasonably well and then kind of sort them into types.
