chris  rocked  back  and  forth  on  his  feet  for  a  moment,  still  somewhat  surprised  that  his genius  idea  hadn’t  actually  worked  out  the  way  it  had  played  out  in  his  head.  he’d  thought  it  had  been  pretty  flawless,  and  couldn’t  quite  see how  it  had  gone  wrong.  ❝  i  really  thought  that  door  would  open inwards.  ❞  he  mused  out  loud,  being stuck  inside  a  room  with  no  exit  and  something  barricading  the  other  side  meant  that  there  wasn’t  any  way  to  get  out.  ❝  how  are  you  at  climbing  out  of windows ?  ❞

head  cocked  to  one  side  as  she  looked  at  the  motel  before  them,  a  far  cry  from  the  pictures  that  she’d  seen  on  the  website.  she’d  been  promised  a  five  star  hotel,  and  instead  was  left  with…  well,  something far from  that.  ❝  i  promise,  it  looked way  better  in  the  pictures.  ❞  somehow,  keeley  didn’t  quite  think  that  that  was  going  to  be  enough  to  make  up  for  the  reality,  that  looked  like  something  out  of  a horror  movie.  ❝  maybe  i  should  call  rebecca,  i  bet  she  knows  of  a  better  place  to  stay.  i’ll  fix  it, promise !  ❞  keeley  certainly  had  determination  in  spades,  even  if  her  planning  abilities  weren’t always  as  perfect  as  she  liked  to  think  they  were.  ❝  it will  be  a  fun  vacation !  ❞
