إِنَّ اللهَ مَعَ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ

من شقاءٍ إلى سَعادة،

ومن ضيقٍ إلى سَعة،

ومن مرَضٍ إلى عافِية.

هي فرصةُ العُمر، فلا تُهدرها.

فإذا كانَ الدعاءُ عظيمَ الأثر في كلِّ حِين، فكيفَ به في شهرٍ تتنزّل فيه الرَّحمات وتُفتَح أبوابُ السَّماء؟

وقد قالَ ﷺ: «لا يَرُدُّ القضاءَ إلَّا الدعاءُ».

There are people who have not yet realized that their lives can completely transform in Ramadan

from hardship to happiness,

from tightness to ease,

from illness to well-being.

It is the opportunity of a lifetime, so do not waste it.

If supplication holds such immense power at all times, then what about in a month when mercy descends and the gates of Heaven are opened?

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“No decree is repelled except by supplication.”

in the spirit of black history month i want to appreciate the dearest figures to my heart and share them with you and inshallah ill find the time (before ramadan) to do them justice but until i can;

i liveblogged bilal a new breed of hero (2015) a while back, and i really recommend watching to anyone whos interested in expanding their knowledge of early muslim history!! bilal bin rabahs story is one thats very special to me and is one of my all time faves and the film is worth watching if u can spare the time

barakah!! also known as um ayman, she was the mother of the prophet peace be upon him after his own mother and her story is a profound one that makes me cry to this day. she was iiirc the second woman to embrace islam after khadija may God be pleased with them all. both barakah and bilal are from abyssinia (ethiopia) and were pivotal in the growth and journey of islam <3

alexandre dumas; the man the legend and the creative mind behind many gems such as the count of monte cristo that i will read in 2026 if it kills me lol. amazing history hilarious individual brilliant writing a visionary and a foodie whats not to love??

everyone and their mama knows how long ive been meaning to read malcom x's works lol and ive finally made some progress (and added 7 more books to read in the process aha) and i want to talk about everything so much he genuinely is one of my favourite figures in history as a whole i have so many thoughts that i cant wait to share!! will liveblog the autobigraphy and essays inshallah asap. shout out to his older sister ella little collins who was a civil rights activist and and icon in her own right :D

HARRIET TUBMAN (and her army of bad bitches ksjdksjdks) another all time favourite of mine and i plan on reading a biography or two and maybe some fiction when i can :3

two books i havent gotten around to reading yet but wanted to share anyway are 1. incidents in the life of a slave girl by harriet jacobs (more in this post) and a link (via internet archive godbless) and 2. blues people by amiri baraka/ leroi jones i found when i first fixated on sinners hehe
